1/18th B-17F Nose Section

Post by Folkwulfe » Thu Sep 28, 2006 4:21 pm

For those who haven't heard yet....MPM is making the entire nose section of the B-17F "Memphis Belle" in kit form. The kit will retail for about $300 and is scaled exactly for 1/18th. Everything from the bulkhead immediately behind the dorsal turrent forward will be modeled. No crew is included (as far as I can tell), but photo etched details as well as cast resin, clear parts, it's got it all! Now to scratch build wings, a fuse, and tail!!!

Folkwulfe, yeap, I think in that previous thread another manufacturer was mentioned who have released a fibreglass fuselage with foam wings and plastic (vac formed?) engine necelles. It is very tempting becasue I think you can buy the kit piece by piece. But for the amount of money you could almost mock one up ones-self with a good set of plans
