New to the site
Hi all, been creeping around in the shadows for awhile, and finally decided to pop in.
Really like 1/18th, only have a small collection
2X 1/18 XD Tigers, 1 Grey, 1 3 tone camo.
1 Stuka "B" Model
1 P51D (Big Beaut Doll)
1 F4U Corsair
1 FW190D9
1 1/16 RC Tiger, Metal Tracks, 3 channel...still detailing this one. (Hen Long version) It is an early version, not the later with the steel roadwheels (ala 21st Century's Tigers) Would like to do this one as Wittmanns, but...again it's an Ausf. A.
Have several 1/18th Ferraris, and of course Corvettes. (just bought a new model of my own Corvette...that is cool when they make toys of your car!)
My current project is a 1/100 Bismarck...it's going to take quite awile. Planning on R/C Just got the Hul prints.....no progress yet...scroll saw is a goner.
Have a giant scale Stuka in the box R/C type...haven't touched it. Lol. Just sheets and sheets of die cut parts.
You can check out digitalcorvettes.com, if you want to see the vette, on that site I'm skd81shark
I am Active Duty US Navy, currently serving as a Recruiter in Mesa AZ.
My hobbies besides models, are my 15 month old son, my beautiful wife, and my 1981 Corvette. I spend a lot more time writing, I have a completed screenplay (Shadow Games) and am currently working on my first novel.
Well, guess that about sums it up. Like lots of other people on here...I want a 1/18 F4E! (or an F4G Wild Weasel) and an F15E Strike Eagle. Wouldn't gripe on an F-14 or a SuperHornet either.
Nice to meet you all!
Steve

Thanks!
Great welcome! Thank you!
Very nice to meet all of you! Good to see some Active Military guys in here, as well as some people in other countries. Seems silly, but I always liked that.
VMF, you asked about the 'Vette, so....My Vette is a 1981 350/T350, Silver on Silver with Defrost. Car originally had an 8 track, but now has a CD player. It is about 85% restored. Nothing exceptionally rare, but she is a blast. Cool note, she still wears her original California Blue plate, this year I scraped off the old registration stickers....and 2007 is right on top of 1982.
Did some work on the Hen Long Tiger this weekend, working on adding a turned aluminum barrel. Still haven't decided on a paint scheme. Also Pulled the Stuka down and dirtied it up a bit, a little soot, and some scuffs and scrapes.
Thanks again for the cool welcome!
