Felt very lucky finally getting the Avenger. The Mig I'll be looking for will be the chinese one also, but I'm afraid you might be right that the Peoples Republic of California will be grabbing them.

Well, we do have the 7th largest capitalist economy in the world, and are quite far from being communist, save for a few nuts in San Francisco and Los Angeles
Thus far, no Migs have been reported in Ca in any significant numbers other than the single one that Raiderad6 found - and that was in the North Korean scheme.

Yep, your right. I also reread my post and I must apoligize for the fruedian slip. I'd loved my little piece of CA until the folks you'd mentioned took it over. That was actually a good thing. It let me find a little piece of a third world country
that I wouldn't have looked for otherwise.

I saw 3 MIG's at WM today, very nice jets. I was kinda tempted to buy one but they are not on my list, I do not have the space for any more 1:18 planes

You bet they did! Most of the non-NATO nations were buying mig-15's like crazy from Africa into eastern Europe and Asia. One of the more popular versions was the MiG-15bis or the UTI two seater. Here's a link to a pic of a UTI in a German museum.

No additional Migs here - also no Avengers, 104's or most anything else. In my searching at Wally this weekend, I did find some CIA Hueys and a Donnie Boy P-47, though!

Watched a program on the military channel last night about the top 10 fighters in history. The F-86 and the Mig-15 tied for 4th place. They showed some in flight film of the Mig-15 version that had the top half of the plane painted bright red. Sharp color scheme.

Could someone please post a closeup picture of the cockpit of the MIG-15 model? I would like to see the instrument panel, and a close up picture of the pilot would be nice. Thanks.

Heard a little rumor today that the MiGs should be here Friday morning. Man I hope so. So, either Friday morning I will be babbling with girlish glee, or immensly P.O.'ed

A story of someone at Walmart trying to be helpful, and getting screwed.
My wife has been calling the Green Valley Walmart to see if they have the MiGs. This is an extra 20 min out of the way, but I would head out there if they got anything. Well, I guess the toy manager decided that even though he has 2 Stukas and 2 Corsairs on the shelf, he would order another case for us. Well, I guess he got them this week - and now he's stuck with 4 Stukas and 4 Corsairs. I really hope this isn't the case with the other nearby Walmart.

Yesterday I had the day off so make a loop of the area W-M's looking for Mig-15's. Nothing in Peoria, Pekin, E. Peoria, Morton, Galesburg or Washington. In fact, the Avengers found in Washington are also gone.
has anyone found Migs in Illinois?
