I don't think that a German bike hasn't been made yet in 1:18 because of any complexities of design or anything like that. Building a bike in 1:18 is probably the easiest part. The hardest part is probably making a figure in 1:18 that can actually SIT on it :)

I think there is a Spanish company that makes one but it is very expensive.

I wish that they would make one. It was widely used-at least in the movies it was.

Doesn't BBI make a modern 1:18 scout cycle with rider for 'bout 12 bucks or so? It's been done.

actuallly Andrea's bike with sidecar is 90mm scale, which is 1/20, not 1/18, despite what it says on the site. It would be noticeably small compared to xd, especially if you were to try to put 1/18 figures on/into it. Looks like a beautiful model though.

It's also a kit, that has to be built, not a finished model. The finished version is $1000.

The best option right now is to get a Maisto 1/18 Harley with sidecar model and convert it. There was one shown on ebay recently and with some effort it can look fairly decent.

How`s this for a Sidecar combo :D

I`ve customized this one for a fellow board member. need to add Pannions & Shroud on the headlight.
I removed the original sidecar seat & inserted the seat you now see.Works better for figure seating. Also cut the entry side into the Sidecar.
I removed the glass windshield on the sidecar & kept the handle.Made a mount for the MG42.
I trimmed the Mudguard on the sidecar. Made a mount for the spare wheel (removable BTW).

I`m afraid I don`t know if they are any US retailers though if you are refering to the seller in that ebay ad,he does say he`ll ship WORLDWIDE.

Glad you like it mate.
I`m Very Happy with the Sidecar combo & I`ve got another 3 of this bike to convert for myself too :D

I`m thinking of getting a few more too......HAHAHAHA

Once Major Hoover posts his scaled plans of the Sdfkz 223,so I can make One or Two of them myself as 222`s,then add a few Sidecar combos...... What a recce unit :D

Again Really happy to hear you like what you see mate :D

Amazing work Steel Bonnet.
