I'm so excited, can't get enough!

I can tell you right now that I will be at the warehouse this next week buying one of these as soon as they arrive! Heck, I may even become a day-laborer that day and help unloading the shipment and they can pay me in ME-262 bucks!

Got mine as well :D

When I first opened the message and read down, it said "TBM Avenger Lost Squadron" - I sort of freaked as I thought perhaps those had come in and I was being sent another Avenger (not that I wouldn't mind!) However, upon reading down further, it showed that the order had been switched to the ME-262

Can't wait!

I just heard this on the radio, one of my old time fav bands

BLUE OYSTER CULT lyrics - "ME 262"

Goering's on the phone to Freiburg
Say's Willie's done quite a job
Hitler's on the phone from Berlin
Say's I'm gonna make you a star

My Captain Von Ondine, here's your next patrol
A flight of English bombers across the canal
After twelve, they'll all be here
I think you know the job

They hung there dependant from the sky
Like some heavy metal fruit
These bombers, ripened, ready to tilt
Must these Englishmen live that I might die
Must they live that I might die

In a G-load disaster from the rate of climb
Sometimes I'd faint and be lost to our side
But there's no reward for failure, but death
So watch me in the mirrors, keep in the glidepath

Get me through these radars, no I cannot fail
Not when great silver slugs are eager to feed
I can't fail, no not now
When twenty five bombers wait ripe

They hung there dependant from the sky
Like some heavy metal fruit
These bombers, ripened, ready to tilt
Must these Englishmen live that I might die
Must they live that I might die

Me-262 prince of turbojet, Junker's jommo 004
Blasts from clustered R4M quartets in my snout
And see these English planes go burn
Now you be my witness how red were the skies
When the fortresses flow, for the very last time
It was dark over Westphalia, in april of T45

They hung there dependant from the sky
Like some heavy metal fruit
These bombers, ripened, ready to tilt
Must these Englishmen live that I might die
Must they live that I might die

Must these Englishmen live that I might die
Junker.s jommo 004 (repeat many times)
Bombers at 12 o'clock high
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

from Blue Oyster Cult's ablum "Secret Treaties"

Me-262 on the cover.

Early BOC ablums were great! I think I'll put that on now...

I found a pic of the album cover.

I have never heard that song before. I think while I'm out on the road this week I'll call Alice Cooper and see if he'll play it for me. :P

That's just too funny :P I've heard of the song before, just not seen the entire lyrics. Great way to get people to learn about history!

I just got done listening to the song on Nabster. Pretty slick. Between these guys and Iron Maiden, they did like their history from time to time....

Some time this week we will be getting our Me 262 from Admiral Toys, lets do Jason a service and write a review of it on the Admiral Toys website. But before you write a review think carefully what you write it, take some time to look over the aircraft and wipe up the drool. then write a review.

Remember Christmas time is coming and a lot of folks will be shopping on line this year.!!!

http://www.admiraltoys.com/catalog/prod ... 12d1e67ddd

I think its going to be the best release of 2006 for a 1:18th bird due to historical detail, and the overall paint quality.

Since the fine folks at Admiral Toys, Jason, Jim, LaDonna for processing our orders “I know she will be extremely busy, and all the other support folks will be working hard for us to receive our orders before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Hats off To the team at AT!!!!!!!!!

I just hope mine comes before turkeyday. LOL

Looks like we'll be getting our orders after the holiday as there seems to have been a slight delay according to the BCA site - this is through no fault of AT, BCA, or anyone else but the US Customs office, however! I'm in no rush as I know my plane is coming within the next couple of weeks, and it has certainly beat the 21c '262 to the market. Eagerly anticipating the arrival at my doorstep of this long-awaited WWII fighter :)

It also gives me a chance to figure out where to display and store it

I have a scheduled date of 11-27!!! Man it seems like a long time ago that I ordered this thing, glad to see they're on the way.

This will just about complete my "wish list". If someone would make a FW-190 A4 or A8 I'd be satisfied.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The ME 262 is in Texas, and we are waiting on customs to clear the model. We bypass customs in California. It takes a much shorter time to clear in Dallas. We have had models held in California for two and half weeks!

The models should clear customs tomorrow and be in our facilities by Wednesday. This is from our freighting outfit’s (UPS’s) mouth. They insured us that they will do everything in their power to get the models out of customs soon and delivered by Wednesday.

I advise you to get them while you can. If next week, you find a retailer that still has some in stock, jump at the opportunity to buy this great model. We are already sold out of this shipment and are not sure when another will arrive. This time of the year is crazy for shipping.

Let me explain for those that received a shipping notification. We are processing several of our retailers’ preorders. This will get the models in your hands sooner than if we ship the models to the retailer and in turn they send them to you. That being said, when our retailers print out their shipping labels to send to us, to be placed on their orders, an automatic shipping notification is sent to the end recipient of the model. This does not mean that the model has been sent, just that the label has been processed and ready for shipping. I will notify you on this site and on the news link on our website the day the shipments have left our facility.

As you know it is Thanksgiving this week, but we will work through the night and Thanksgiving morning to prepare all the models for shipping. We have not been able to confirm if UPS is picking up on Friday. If they are we hope to have all orders processed and ready for delivery by Friday.

Thank you for your patience, this model is worth the wait.
Regards,
Jason
