Hello, I am new here and I have the Hobby Pox!!!!!!

Post by VMF115 » Mon Jul 03, 2006 7:48 pm

Just wanted to drop in and show you guys what I just bought. I know I am way behind in collecting Bbi Aircraft but I thing I got in before all the F-18’s where sold at unreal high prices.

I just got the new F4U from Bbi with the new Marine colors today.
I will be getting the Bbi F-16 in a few months.

Oh I just bought another F-18 Golden dragon should be here next week

So my total of Bbi aircraft is 2 F-18,s 2 F4us and 1 Zero
On the way 1 F-18 Golden Dragon, and in late September early October W.P F-16

And I waiting for Bbi to make a F-14 and a Mig-29 “with working intake doors” with 4 AA- 8 Aphid, two AA-10 Alamo (R27T) and a Centerline drop tank...Please Bbi make this Mig 29

Good choices for planes. You might want to keep a look out for the 21st Century Spitfire if you can find one-it is a very nice plane too.

Does the side open up to allow the pilot to gain entry?

Btw way has any one done this. Place a fan on the highest setting a few feet in front on the Bbi F4u Corsair? It almost looks like the thing is going to take off, it looks like it’s at full throttle with the brakes on.

Welcome!

Yes, some people have taken fans to their planes and I think Tman even posted pictures of the Corsair with prop in action. :D

Nice little stable of aircraft you have there, and welcome to the hobby. Kudos on the pics too, very nice, the digital cams they are making these days are hard to beat aren't they?? BTW, I'm with you all the way on the Mig-29, I think it would make a superb 1/18th scale model, now if we can only get BBI or 21C to make one we will be set. Cheers,

Scott

is it a pox or a frenzy? I had a frenzy and bought tons of planes.

The 21C spitfire is very nice, I can't answer about the door, mine are still in boxes, I've seen a picture with the door down however.

Concrete makes for better model pics :D

Now all that you need from bbi is the p-51 mustang.

There are six helos to get between the 21st Century and BBI if you go that route as well: 1) BBI AH-64 Apache, 2) 21st AH-1 Cobra, 3) BBI UH-60 Blackhawk, 4) 21st UH-1 Huey (Gunship version) 5) BBI OH-58 Kiowa, & 5) BBI AH-6 Little Bird.

Also, if you nedd any plane for a great price, Ask here on the buy, sell, & trade forum. I have had nothing but great service so far. I've gotten the Spitfire w/ pilot. A P-40 pilot, an Apache, and two MB jeeps from four different sellers recenlty. (I still have to leave excellent feedback and sorry for the delay). It is better than ebay because you are dealing with trusted fellow board members.

I did some looking around in the wee morning hours and seen his F4U in action, Btw way did any one else get the New Bbi F4U. It has more rubber on the rear tail tire and it has the proper gun placement. I don’t have any pics right now but will take some latter in the week

The reason I used the VMF115 is because of Joe Foss I am living in South Dakota His home state where he also served as governor after the war. Check him out.
I also severed in the US infantry 25th infantry division in the 90’s I was assigned to the 1/27-infantry wolfhounds, my Avatar is from the 27th infantry regiment. If any one has a pic of the 1/27th regiment I would love to have it for use as my avatar.

As of 5 minutes ago, KB's spit is listed at 49.99, when I got mine ~2 months ago 2nd day Fedex was 10.99 to Alaska. Bad Cat shows 54.95 for theirs with shipping for comparable stuff during the same time period running 20-25 dollars for USPS priority.

P.S. Military Toy Shop I don't even want to discuss for their spit. Their shipping has been running about 40% of total cost!! My last attempt was just 2 days ago when I decided to order one of the Humvee's. $15.99 for the model, $45.00 shipping UPS ground!! I didn't complete the order.

$ 45 Shipping "Holy Crips" thats a lot of money!!
I would take USPS

Priority mail any day, My F-18’s came from New York and only coasted me 15 dollars for UPS ground. in fact the shipping Calculator was a bit high and the seller refunded some of the shipping cost even before I was aware of it, I would buy from him again. In fact I did I bought one more F-18 from him last week.
