Are Mods The Thing of the Past ?

Hey all you collecting Guys,
Historically except about 20 years ago I always sell more of my mods on ebay.
I use this forum as a launching site when I make a new creation.
I consider it home.
I actually have not made one in about 5 years or so.
During that period almost all XD has increased in price about 4-5 times.
What cost $39.94 back in the day is up to at least $150 , some more some less.

Is modifying your $150 item a thing of the past ?
Is the desire to get more things in 1/18 scale alive and kicking or has that desire died on the vine ?

I think the issue is not as many collectors as in the past and the availability of 1:18.
As you said the price has increased but I still cut up 21st to make customs/Mods. I think
they're a great base to start from and could always use more detail. I was never into RC tanks
so I didn't go the 1:16 rc route.

I'll stick with 1:18 and as long as you make Custom kits/Mods, I'll buy them Pichel...besides yours are better
than mine. :)

Depends. I’d say mods are over for certain high value items, and new opportunities are open for the others (like the Huey and F-86) that are still available in kit form.
