S1 Panzer IV on EBAY Over $100

Post by immeww2 » Mon Mar 06, 2006 8:29 am

A lucky seller has a Panzer IV listed on EBAY that has a current bid of $162. Thought it was the Euro version but it turns out to be the S1 model. Another   auction to follow.

Then the sucker who buys it goes into a Wal Mart to buy some chips, walks past the toy aisle and sees the same tank (or the RC version) for $40

sort of like me when I bought a "rare limited edition 1/18" Dale Jr Nascar car for $240 at a Nascar store, that my buddy said oh yeah his prices are cheap... a week or so later I saw the same car, new out of a Canadian website for $90.00

The Nascar guy refused to take it back and insisted the web site guys were selling used goods.

1 reason I have very few Nascar cars in my 1/18 collection.

I sold one the other day for $102.00. I was happy. :D

Must be a run on the PZIV's now then which was similar to the marked up interest on the ME-109 Nighfighters awhile back. I guess every piece has it's day.
