Star Wars Combat Assault Tank

Post by Axis Nightmare » Tue Dec 10, 2019 1:16 pm

I'm not Star Wars savvy but I saw this in the Ollie's Outlet flyer. Looks to be about 1/18 scale. Most items at Ollie's are there because they are duds or mega-over produced so I don't know about this but thought I'd put it out there. I don't know who has an Ollie's in their area. We have 3 or 4 here.

Funny how it says "theirs $49.99".

That "theirs" is likely Toys'r'Us as Ollies mentioned buying out the leftovers from a recently bankrupt retail toy corporation. And from what I know about that bankruptcy is that even at 70% off retail the Star Wars toys were not moving, so Ollies got a TON of that. Hasbro still took a loss when that debt was charged off in the TRU bankruptcy proceedings. Notice you don't see as much new SW product these days?

If you’re into the Star Wars vehicles, this tank is one of the best Hasbro has made to date. It’s as well detailed as any of our 1/18 tanks were back in the day with a full interior, opening engine, rolling treads, cargo crates, etc.

It’s a toy/model of the Imperial Assault Tank seen in the spinoff movie Rogue One A Star Wars Story. The vehicle in the film was a heavily modified British Alvis Stormer armored vehicle. Apparently when filming, the vehicle commander kept a coffee mug just inside the hatch as a gag, and Hasbro actually replicated that detail on the toy!

Here’s a few pictures of the one I have 8)

Tman,
Nice pics.
I got one last Christmas and it's still in the box. I think it was 37.00 last year. So, great bargain at 19.99
My friend was able to get one from a source on line for 21.00
