POST ALL 21st CENTURY WALMART FINDS HERE

Post by Teamski » Mon Feb 20, 2006 8:14 am

Now that the McKennon's P-51 has been shown on E-Bay, I guess it's a good time to create a thread for 21st stuff!!

By the way, I have added a profile and photo of Major Pierce McKennon's P-51 to the profile album. You can find them by clicking the website button below. Thanks!

Perhaps we should combine this with the WM thread just to consolidate recon and comments. Or just drop the "WM" part of it and just have one 21st finds/discussion thread. After all most stuff at WM winds up online and vice versa.

Maybe we need a new thread. That Walmart one has something like 45 pages. Think of it as spring cleaning.

Well, back to Walmart hunting. Or maybe TRU will finally get back in the act.

I added the thread due to the P-51 coming out and all of the discussions that would not involve WM, i.e. accuracy, paint jobs, etc.....

Eastcoasters, keep a lookout - both the new BoB figures and the P-51s seem to be showing up in your neck of the woods :D Now I wonder where the new 32x planes are...

Digger just made me choke on my coffee...

Oh my...

I must have these BotB Series 2... I MUST! :x

I've wanted a US Rifleman in a greatcoat since the series 1 were first pictured, so these will be mine. Multiple heads, whole torso's... These figures are perfect for building up the forces, especially if you have some extra S1 figure legs around or something...

Look great to me. And I'm on the hunt allt he time for other stuff so I'll report in anything I find in Pittsburgh...

And yes, Go Steelers baby!

Well - if they are showing up that means another two weeks - I wonder what will happen to the OMG and japanese series - will they be gone that quick? Most stores around here restocked twice on the OMG but still have 10-15 marines and some older BOB figures.

We don't have WM here but I'm not sure those ones on ebay were from WM anyway.

If we get just one member recon then I would start burning gas.
Man it would be nice if small retailers got in on these...

I know this is old news for any of you eastenders, but I finally spotted the Hackl and Sahl ME-109Gs, the Sky Captain P-40 and the Silver USAF F-104 at a Wal Mart in central California. The F-104 box was trashed, though the other boxes were fine. The Sahl ME-109 looked beautiful and I'm thinking I should eventually pick up the Sky Captain P-40 (despite the drab scheme and lack of pilot) because its an interesting film-related toy.

So, this sort of distribution lag may mean that the new P-51s, etc. will show up in the west around May or later. The Avenger had better not do this!

Hit my new favorite spot, a Wal-Mart near my gf's house that opened just last month, and they didn't have BotB unfortunately. They did have the mustard colored Japanese... What's the difference with those uniforms anyway? I'm not familiar with why the Japanese had tan and green, but whatever.

They were mixed with OMG repacks too.

1:18 P-51 "Ridge Runner" spotted at the Super Wal-Mart located on the North East corner of Military Trail & Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach, FL. There are three left as of last night.

No sightings of the new Stuka paint scheme.
No sightings of the 109-G "Seeman"

Nothing really new in 1:18 in my area as of yesterday - save for the F-104, Hackl & Sahl ME-109Gs. Those were only at one store however, and there were only the three. Most stores have the OMG & S2 Japanese figures, either the old or new hummers, Graff ME-109Gs, or a few RC Vehicles. The Stukas and Corsairs never did show up again or get restocked other than the one time that I saw them. (They must have been some sort of fluke  ) I did find the new 32x Macchis, Zeros, and ME-109 & P-47 repaints, however :D

Had a chance to check out the WMs in Halfmoon / Clifton Park (N of Albany) and Herkimer (Mohawk Valley region) yesterday. Nothing new....

Encouraging that tmanthegreat has seen the 32X Zero, though!

After getting 21st and the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California finally together, they now sell up to date 21st Century Toys items at the museum!

Currently they have P-38J 'Pudgy II', F4U Corsair Bunker Hill, P-40s, P-47 Razorbacks, and P-47 Bubbletops! They've been going fast so the museum is reordering them as fast as they can, but anyone who is in the Orange County area might want to start skipping walmarts and making the trip up to the museum instead! Then you can buy the aircraft you were looking for AND see the real deal right outside the giftshop! :-)
