Weekend Project: The PTE Type 98 Tank Revisited

Post by tmanthegreat » Sun Sep 23, 2018 2:31 pm

This was a quick weekend project to repaint a Power Team Elite World Peacekeepers Chinese Type 98 MBT and give it a more “Russian” looking paint job. I’m pretty happy with the end results and feel the tank looks far better than the stock PTE version! Enjoy :D

My repaint with one in its original paint (more or less):

I like your paint job. I like the stock paint job too. They would be used in different climates, I am sure. Thank you for sharing it with us!

They both look good.

Just needs a tad of weathering to bring the paint job out .

Thanks everyone! It was just a quick project to basically repaint a repaint I had done a few years ago and really just an excuse to practice airbrushing techniques. It’s hard to see, but there is already some light weathering including some panel highlighting and paint wear effect. I didn’t really dirty up the tank, but may do that eventually
