Attaching ordinance?

Do you guys use superglue or any kind of adhesive to attach your ordinance to your aircraft? I was curious if there was something out there that works well for this type of thing.
Thanks

If they can stay on without adhesive that would be best in case you feel like changing ordnance or need to rebox the plane. If they don't stick or you plan on never selling then superglue will certainly do the trick, although most any glue should be strong enough to hold the ordnance in place.

Agree with CplSlade, they should be press fit and stay in place. My two Tomcats and the F-16 are that way. The Harrier I have is another story. Some of the "pins", they designed to hold the ordnance on, are broken and are designed in such a way that once you hang something there, it's not meant to come off. I plan on cutting off these pins, drilling new holes in the pylons and, inserting pieces of brass rods so I can press fit the items on there.
You could try a little piece of " Blue Stick" or Elmer's Tack, a reusable adhesive putty sold at Home Depot, Lowe's or, a craft store.
Hope this helps.

I’ve had a lot of luck with the blue poster tack. You will want to be careful with what you use because some brands don’t have as much stickiness as others. I use something called “Fun Tack” which is blue in color and has the right amount of stickiness to securely hold loose ordinance, stowage on armored vehicles, etc. It can stay sticky for years...

One other option to consider:
- remove the ordnance from the aircraft
- apply a thin coat of super glue onto the attachment "nub" of the ordnance
- let it fully dry, then reattach it

This will thicken the nub a bit making for a tighter, but not permanent fit.

I’ve done that many times as well... Sometimes even using thin strips of masking tape to thicken a tab works as well.
