1/18 scratchbuilt BR52 KRIEGSLOK, the German War Locomotive
Hi fellows, this is my other project, the BR52 steam locomotive, I'm still working on it..it's about 70% done yet.
the main locomotive structure

the cabin..
some weathering effects...not so good..
testing eletric wiring

with the tender.

Stellar work...I love the complete scratch build projects. I have wanted to do a WW II German Locomotive for years.
Question-Did you scratch build the wheels or were those wagon wheels that were used.
I would love to get my hands on those templates. Again very nice work!

Hi, thanks for appreciate it. The wheels, as the other main parts where built with a material called here in Brazil "papel paraná", it's a kind of compact cardboard. First I make the wheel rings, and put each spokes around the center paper hub. To provide strenght, was used tons of super glue.TOOL wrote:Stellar work...I love the complete scratch build projects. Beautiful locomotive model, all the more given it’s scratch-built! It looks nearly as good as the premium LGB G-scale and larger models
