Razor, I think you just want to carefully push them in. They have a small tab that secures the struts in place when extended and they should retract by pushing on the strut with a minimal amount of force. You may hear a slight “cracking” sound, but that’s normal and the gears should retract. I’ve had no problems with the gears both my BBI BF-109s.
