YT PH 1/18 Hind Build

Post by YT » Fri Dec 29, 2017 3:07 pm

UPDATE: Apparently Post Image.org is down for good. I uploaded the images to a google folder if you would like to view them.

Started today. It took me 1.5 hours just to wash the parts! This kit is amazing. I can’t fathom all of the work that went into it!

Definitely worth the wait. Thanks Pickelhaube for having the idea and making it happen, and thanks to Jay, T-bird and Grunt for their support making it a reality.

Yeah a lot of parts to keep up with.

Did you by chance get a final count on the parts ?

Winglets and weapons wip. Those rocket pods have been rough, I had to add some styrene to compensate for pour roots and fitment.

Excellent progress.
It looks like you need some series modelling skills to be able to put this monster together. Definatelly not for beginners ....

Yes, bondo spot putty. Great for filling seams in combination with acetone.

Test fitting the chin turret.
Image

This area needs some sanding when it’s all together to make it fit. My kit was missing a pod but I have requested a replacement from Pickhaube, hopefully I can get that soon.
Image

Painting up some bits.
Image

Some extra tires for a 222 kit and kettenkrad in there.
