Holy Grail found....

Post by flayrah » Fri Mar 31, 2017 8:56 pm

...but way out of my price range

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-18-BBI-1-18-W ... SwfVpYoMQh

Been looking for this since it came out. The nearest I ever came was from a dealer in Australia who wouldn't ship to the US. Now here's one in the US, but is priced higher than I I could ever justify. Still, I can look....

I wonder if he will get that much for it. I bought my Aussie silver BBI P51 from Matthew for $200.00 - and he sold his one of this for $200.00 I think it was.

The seller has both the Australian P-51s listed at the same selling price, plus both a Marauders and Black F-18 Hornets - all appear to be 'top dollar' although there does seem to be a 24 month payment plan available...
Glad I got these when prices were a bit more reasonable. (The Hornets, Not the Mustangs)

I just picked up the two rare P51s he has at 700 for $750 as a pair, and I felt that was nuts, but I was only missing three planes, and these were two of them.

This guy's prices are somewhat nutty. Not far off in some cases, but some are whacked. The two for $700 each are definitely expensive, but I have seen F14s go for between $500-$800,which aren't even close to how rare the two P51s are, but maybe that era is in a different price category for some reason? If so, maybe he will get a buyer, but I am with the other poster who said it was much too expensive.

It will indeed be interesting to see if he gets those prices.
