A few weeks ago, I got a MIB 21c Ultimate Soldier 1/6 scale OH-6 Cayuse from a friend for a very good price. I already had the modern AH-6 version, but the deal on the OH-6 was too good to pass up. Over the next few weeks, I tracked down the figures and accessories to properly crew it. The 21c OH-6 is not without its flaws - it is under-scaled, has the wrong type of stabilizers on the tail, and wrong number of rotor blades for the Vietnam-era OH-6 Cayuse. Then there is the early-style 21c "fingerprint" weathering... Still, it is a very impressive model!
Below are some pictures of the OH-6 on maneuvers in my back yard... Enjoy
Some diorama photos going for an "authentic" look:

It's too big, takes too much space, too expensive, and so on.....Every time I'm just about to give up on 1/6 scale I see something like this that reminds me just how fun and really impressive 1/6 scale can be.

Thanks for all the kind comments, everyone
Axis, I used to think exactly the way you were about 1/6 scale... While I've always had 12" figures in my military collection going back to the GI Joe Hall of Fame series from the early 1990s, it has only been in the past 5 years or so that my 1/6 collection has really grown to include WWII and modern artillery, vehicles, armor, and aircraft. The scale does take up a bit of space, but the detail can be incredible and there is certainly a "wow" factor!
Oh, and an update... I added an M134 minigun to the OH-6:
These were frequently carried by OH-6 helicopters in Vietnam and were often field modifications. My mount may not be 100% accurate, but there appeared to be a good deal of variation for how the miniguns were mounted in real life, so I think it works. The parts stay in place without glue so as not to damage the model. The minigun was made by InToys and I modified its mounting bracket, removing a couple parts and painting it OD green.

And yes, size does matter.
