Old West new line 1/18 figures

Post by Eddy10440 » Fri Aug 26, 2016 10:27 am

Dime Novel Legends

I didn’t know where else to put this, but since it’s a non-military stuff, I guess this would be the right thread.

This company called Chicken Fried Toys is announcing the launching of its Western theme line of toys named Dime Novel Legends in 1/18 scale (or may be 3.75”) of old west fully articulated action figures.

Apparently in October they will start with a kickstarter campaign in which they’ll launch their first series of 15 figures and also say there will be a second wave later on of another 15 figures or so.

Obviously I instead would like more military stuff on this scale rather than cowboy figures, but nowadays producing new 1/18 items it’s so scarce that I’m kind of happy with this western line because you never know, this company might eventually will get into the military toys-hobby market if their sales with this line of figures in 1/18 scale are good.

These are some of the first wave of figures:

Those are some really awesome figures and perhaps Western-themed action figures will have greater appeal to a larger audience. But this could lead to some other period military figures... In a western line, I could easily see a Genera Custer, 7th Cavalry soldier, and Souix Indian warriors 8)

You're right buddy! I really hope so.

Actually on their FB page, they said that on the second wave of figures they will have some cavalry soldiers and Native American characters
