I never owned the BBI Zero to compare to that pic, but that doesn't look like what I recall of it?

I dig the stand... Pretty slick extra. Out of Japan I'd think less a knock-off and more likely just a product from their country. They have the coolest stuff.

Could there be hope for the 1:18 market?..............

I have the BBI Zero and the detail is a lot higher mold wise. If it's a knock off it's pretty poor in comparison. I would think no.

If you scroll down and look at the large pictures, you'll see how bad and toy-like it is. The color is wrong. Should be green-gray, not blue-gray. The canopy area is not right and doesn't match the color of the airframe. the landing gear plugs into a solid wings area. No wheel wells and the gear is all wrong. Molded in struts like the 21st C. 190D and the axle enters on the wrong side of the tire. Not even to 21st Century standards much less BBI. Reminds me and looks like one of those cheap foam electric rc RTFs. That canopy part even looks like a battery compartment cover. No seat or cockpit? Maybe it's copied off a foamy mold?

If i'm not mistaken that is a R/C aircraft, that same company makes R/C aircraft. I think that's an ARF that they're selling without the any of the R/C stuff in it to display. I checked out a A6M5 BNF that has pretty much the same stand and I believe it was from Parkzone?

Pass. I have the BBI white Zero and this one is no comparison. The detail is so poor just looking at the rear wheel. I agree that it's designed as a RC plane.

I looked at the description and it claims to be styrene. As in Styrofoam? I thought that canopy area looked like a cover for a battery compartment.
Guess it was.

Technically listing it as styrene isn't inaccurate I suppose. Makes sense how it sits so nice on that stand then though. Much lighter than a 1/18 "model" type plane.

I'll keep my BBI Zeros. Really no comparison in terms of quality... The BBI models are vastly superior!

Yup, it's a molding of a foam flying model. You can tell by the wide panel lines, and I can also see the opening for the rudder push rod, and the attachment on the rudder for the rod. Not up to our standards, but if it's the only Zero you can get, so be it !!

Looking at the Cockpit and Canopy detail has nothing on the BBI one,at least the BBI one has a sliding Canopy. :D
