Great Idea! Zero Poll

Post by vmf214 » Mon Nov 15, 2004 7:04 pm

As we've obviously seen plenty of great planes from 21st and only pictures of the new BBi Mustang, I'm gonna say the BBi P51 will be absolutely outstanding therefore my vote is for BBi. Either way I'll buy several!

I'm keeping my faith that 21st kicks out a Zero! With the Avenger coming out, it has to have an adversary!

Its tradition. I'll keep my vote with 21st, though I could see one coming from BBI first...

With a ton of great WWII planes already behind them, I vote for 21st Century. My hope is that they'll produce some traditional Zero paint schemes . . . and do it before the niche market re-paints.

I really want this plane!

I don't know

Post by Quixote511 » Tue Nov 16, 2004 9:12 am

It looks like bbi has stepped up its quality a ton. I like the F-18, but there isn't enough moveable stuff on it to make it very playable. Whereas, 21st has managed to get control surfaces and other things going. I won't know about bbi until that P-51 is in my hands. It looks like a quantum leap forward in quality. But, not knowing for sure I will reserve my judgement and simply say that I want a high quality Zero made. As for who I want to make it, I will have to wait a few days bbefore I can post that.

It's kind of hard to jump to bbi, since everthing I have is 21st. I rather see a 21st Zero just to keep with consistency. The only way I will start buying bbi is if 21st goes out of business or if 21st starts making awful toys that don't appeal to anyone, but I doubt it.

I will withhold my vote until I receive my bbi Mustang. I'd like to see how the quality of the new bbi stuff stacks up first, then I'll cast my vote! :)

I'll just be glad to get one, the balsa 1/18 Zero I built just isn't the same. I've got great plans for a Hamp and Rufe modification...for starters.

I have more history with 21st Century. BBi looks like the future could be exciting depending on how far they take the plane line. I hope 21st produces the Zero and perhaps BBi can focus on making an A-10. Heck if 21st makes an A-10 that would be fine with me too.

21C vs BBi.

I think the "jury is out". After we see the BBi P-51 (soon I hope) we'll be able to judge the quality of the release. I'm optimistic about BBi after seeing BCA's photos.

Well with the info aferg put out looks pretty gloomy for those expecting 21st to kick one out. I mean why would we want a plane made infamous for attacking Pearl Harbor or for crashing into allied shipping when we can have an F-104 in Japanese livery that was made famous for....being pawned off on the Japanese instead of being junked in Arizona...makes sense doesn't it :?:

A men to that! A Zero makes far more sense than an F-104! That plane is even too difficult to place within the time periods covered by 21st. Its deffinitely not WWII or Korea and deffinitely not modern. I guess it would fall under Viet Nam, but 104's weren't used in combat there! An F-4 would have been a far more popular choice, in my opinion, with a variety of Navy and Air Force paintjob possibilities.

Yeah it's frustrating. What dingus actually believes a Zero wouldn't sell? But hey, how about a Huey repaint in Chicken Gizard Ridge PD livery...give me a break. It's up to BBi now and I bet they deliver. I mean why in the world put out a 104 in Japanese livery? Kinda contradicting actually, in their infinite wisdom Japanese doesn't sell, granted the plane is US made, but the little red meatballs on the wings ARE JAPANESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think that bbi will do a Zero before 21st C, because they haven't even made an attempt at anything new from WWII. They have only done Modern. Which is a safe bet with the war going on. News is advertising for them. With WWII, it’s much more controversial with many people. By them making things that have proven sales in the market and haven’t stirred conflicted makes them followers. We may see remakes of what has already been done by 21st C from bbi, but i think that is about it. Just my two cents.
