Looks pretty good from here. I wonder if they'll do a True Lies version with Arnold as the pilot. LOL

Even tho I'll buy a Harrier, give me birds that actually had dogfights with pilot against pilot, I'll take the Shrike any day over modern jets...TJJ

I was under the impression the harrier, of the Sea Harrier variety, did sea air combat in the Falklands campaign, bagging a fair number of Argentinian A-4 Skyhawks, Daggers, and Mirage III. I know this Merit release is not exactly a Brit Sea Harrier but still, basically the same airframe save for the pointier nose and different location of the wing wheels.

Yes, absolutely they did. I have a lasting impression burned into my brain's hard drive of video taken from the ground showing a Sea Harrier at very low altitude and fairly close range blowing apart an A-4 with a missile shot.

I have been killed numerous times by Harriers while playing the AIX2 mod for Battlefield 2, so I can vouch for their combat record.

correct they did- but a missile from a jet IMO is not the same as close quarter dogfights using the skills of U.S./Allied pilots using .50 cal. guns against 20-30 mm cannons of the Pilots of the Luftwaffe, up close and personal, now Korean War and lil bit Nam era were dogfights but nothing on the scale of WWI and WWII Pilots, just my thinkin izall....

Are we sure this is for the Merit 1/18 AV-8B Harrier. I watched some of the video's posted by Wang Faye and it deals a lot with R/C stuff in different scales, no mention of the Merit Harrier. Don't want to get my hopes up.
