What is th most Wanted 1/18 Scale Armor project ? 2nd Round

Post by pickelhaube » Sun Apr 05, 2015 7:16 am

I have a lot going on now and almost 100% incompasinated but I can almost type correctly now.

I am sure 30 guys will chime in with 30 different request other than
105 howitzer
sdkfz 251 backdate
jumbo Sherman
jagdpanther

What new armor project would you all like to see from me ?

To complement what I already have, I would have to agree with normandy and go with the Stug. Being realistic though, it will probably be a bit out of my price range. I still hope to one day work up the hobby budget to get a Pickle T-34/85.

Right now, what I would actually go for over a plane or armour would be a line of 1:18 WWII weapons and accessories. While I'm hesitant to purchase a tank for $350, I'd be willing to spend good money for these in 1:18: G41, FG42, PPSh 41/42, MP35, Kar 98k Scoped/grenade cup/bayonet, Mkb 42, Vampyr STG 44, trench guns, glasses, ponchos, and so many more little things. I understand that the cost of making these would probably outwiegh the profits, so I doubt any of these will come to reality. Fun to dream though.

From your list I still want the 251 backdate, but if we are going all pie in the sky, I would love to see a Cromwell in 1/18 or the M7 Priest

I would like to see a M36 Tank Destroyer. You can use the M10 hull and make a new turret.

I would love to see an M-5 Stuart sometime. I'm surprised 21c never made one, despite having models of the tank in 1:6 and 1:32 scale. It was widely used and is a neat little tank. Even if the detail was on the level of the 21c models, it would still be great.

As far as actual armor? M-18 Hellcat. Or has it been done? I think a Firefly has already been done :?:

As far as vehicles: Dodge ambulance, Deuce-and-a-Half, Opel Blitz.
