Panther G (early version)

Post by normandy » Sun Mar 29, 2015 11:58 am

I've been working on this for a while. Pickekhaube is thinking of doing the Panther backdate, a D or A version
and maybe even a G.

For me the G was the easiest and fastest. Far from finished but here are some pics........

That is SUPER!

I'm looking over at my Panthers now and realize, not being a real knowledgeable armor guy that I wouldn't know a G from a D or an A. Or whether the exhaust is wrong or the commander's hatch has the wrong handles or the if the rear of the turret is the wrong shape. It doesn't bother me that the hatch hinges are probably way oversized or the colors aren't quite the right shades. I just like the looks of them the way they are. :?

Guess I need to keep that in mind when I nitpick at planes that I do know very well and can't understand how some can't see the obvious flaws. Some people just look at their planes like I look at the armor.
