Hi Guys. I noticed recently that a yellow nosed Stuka S-6 went for around $75.00 on eBay. My local WalMart has four of these in stock now. They're actually the only 1:18 they have at all.
My question is, are these that rare or only hard to find in some areas? It would seem strange to find 4 in one store if they are really that rare. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I'm still a rookie here,
Is the STUKA S-6 rare?

I guess it is all about distribution. 4 in your AO and zero in someone else's could mean a high price on ebay. Could also be an eager buyer or an international auction with more bidders.
Either way I think each Stuka has proven a pretty safe investment, even the Winter which came out twice is starting to dry up...

Guess I'll have to go pick one up.

You may want to throw one in the closet if you have the space.

As mentioned, rarity is a relative thing. The S-6 Stuka never made all of the areas. I know they never showed their wings anywhere near Delaware. So, some people trying to get that paint scheme will pay above average for it.
Unfortunately the distribution woes at Walmart fuels E-Bay prices.....
