What a fantastic job you do creating your models Mate and this is yet another example - I don't know how you do it - but all I can say is just keep on doing it. We would be lost in 1 18 without you Matthew!!!!

I need to give a shout out to the guys who are getting the full builds . 9-10 full builds at this time.

I want to order the paint for this project and need to see what amount of colors to get.

I am pretty sure we all have our fav paint schemes .

Dark brown on tan field. Afghanistan invasion.
Dark green on tan field . Cold War Years
Green on light gray field. Modern

Please let me know what colors ( you full build guys ) want. ASAP.

IF YOU DO NOT CONTACT ME I WILL GO WITH THE DARK BROWN ON LIGHT BROWN.

SO LET ME KNOW ASAP !!!!!!!

While I'm doing my own build it is going to be tough to pick a paint scheme...I like them all. Green on Tan maybe my favorite. Any tips on which paint to buy and the specific colors that would be accurate?

I like using Testers Model Master enamel . As far as the interior Mig makes a modern Russian green interior . It will be a acrylic paint.. It is kind of an aqua blue/emerald green color mix.

My local hobby shop guy is my go to guy for coloring. When the color paints are picked out I will post the call outs.

HELP ME SOMEBODY HELP ME !!!!

Stuart just sent me 2 excellent pics of the Hind . Looking at them I discovered a MAJOR FLAW in the Trumpeter kit . In the real Hind the intake cowlings are shaved in the middle and are touching. The Trumpeters are totally separate . This just messes everything up . Looks like it is redo time.

Damn you Trumpeter or You Stuart ????

Unless this is a later model . There is a secondary lip on the cowling that is really pronounced ( mine does not have it ) and I see in some pics it looks just like what I have.

Anybody in the know about this design feature because I really do not want to redo it if it is not needed !!!!!!!!

Well , I changed it . I am not quite done with it.

I spliced the two collar rings together and fan cut the cowling so they can crimp together adjusting to the inward move.

I have the first application of putty on it and will probably have to sand and repeat at least a couple of times .

This just slows everything down .

Progress is not moving forward but sideways .

Pickel, I had a feeling you'd fix it, your all about the details. I have to say this Hind has to be one of your
most impressive custom creations and I'm sure the guys who've ordered one of these will not be disappointed, fantastic job
