I bid on it .

If I win maybe I can offer this as a new pilot and make the old bomber style the Afgani issue .

I won it !!!

Let us see how it looks when it comes in.

:D :D :D

Now this brings up another situation.

If this figure does work , or is I use my made up figure . I will make him sitting down and will alter the body legs and feet to fit inside of the cock pit.

That being said I could probably cut and shape the fig to fit inside the cockpit with out going through the floor boards .

Or

I can leave the feet cut outs in the floor as is so you guys building your own can do what ever works for you.

Input welcomed .

I'd like to put any figure in the cockpit.
At least for me, if you fix the floor would work perfectly for me.
I think that helo without the pilot will be like a soldier without his weapon and i want to be free to decide wich pilot will fly the bird.

Real work is kind of slow so I have more time to work on the Hind. I feel that if I can get 3 solid weeks worth of work on the Hind I can wrap it up .

When the proto is done and mold making starts the pre production price will change to the production price .

Est production price $375- $425 . THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN ABOUT 2-3 WEEKS.

Is there anybody on the forum who considers themselves good at soldering ?

If so please contact me.

Thanks guys .

Work continues. Just spent all day working out the linkages with the clam doors. They need to be aligned a little more and I need to use a step down in hardware sizes. What I have looks too chunky. An easy fix .

Now I know what I am doing I will make the other side and it should be easier.

All righty guys . I got the figure in and it will work !! I have to cut off a few tabs and it will be perfect !!! The only thing is the head and helmet are cast in one so I need to grind out the figure head.

The vest is perfect and the Russians used then with/with out shirts underneath like the Americans. The Americans used their flak vests.

I need to shave off those 2 tabs just under the visor .

And the 2 tabs behind the visor and it will be perfect !!

Yes, he will do nicely. Will you provide 2 of these minus the heads or are you also providing a different figure.

The easier of the 2 .

Probably both figs the same with helmet . You supply the head .

I will make the fig in the sitting position and probably cast the rest of the parts looking like the seperrated parts in the pics

After 4 attempts the glue spots are a little kattywompus but you get the idea .

Looking really cool Pickel, very nice work again. Really be a very nice addition to people's collections.

Pickel I am curious what is the material you are making it out of? The grey material what is it, if not mind me asking.

Thank you Aracula !!!

I usually build with 2 mm sheet styrene either white or cream color which ever is available .

I just started buying it in 4' by 8' sheets. There is a plastic supplier relatively close to my house.

I spray the item with grey primer paint ( automotive ) that I get from O Rielies .

I get the 2 in 1 primer/ high build paint for sanding and when I think that I am done with the piece I use primer/sealer .
