I really want this kit and would be prepared to pay double $240.00 if this would help Matthew produce it. if all those that want it paid double Matthew could make it with only the current 6 that said they want it.

If it helps to do it I would take 2 Kits.
Matthew: do you still have a Kingtiger Kit in your hands??

If you get two kits Paul I can do a early version and a late version. The Jagdpanther takes on a very different look when you add the side skirts.

That would be great Jon!! But the big question is do we have enough takers yet if Crazy Kraut and I take 2 each for Matthew to do this kit?

Hi

Fairly new here but I would be in for one. Not sure if that 6 month rule applies to this sort of thing or just the Trading forum. I have a 21st Panther body sans barrel that needs to be turned into something.

If your paypal works we should be fine.

Too cold today to pour any resin so I started back on the Jagdpanther.

I am glad I got the kit , the Woofer had a few inacuracies that I will be taking care of.

I plan on making the late version that will work fine with the 21st Panther.

I am glad I stopped when I did because I was going in the wrong direction on the mantlet along with the mantlet well.

All these things will be different ( to scale ) than anything that has been offered before.

As I stated before I plan on making the whole fighting box in one pour . I plan on cutting off the lower rear deck.

With will keep the cost down ( $ 125 ) so I do not have to make another HUGE mold .

Plus I will cast only the parts on the hull that are indicative to the Jagdpanther.

All other parts will have to come off of the doner Panther.

Any input on this ?

Realistically I would say about 4 weeks.

The HUMVEE project is in full swing and I have a couple of Hummer full builds to do.

Those full builds take so much time off of other projects. ( I just spent 120 hours building 1 Tiger and 2 Jagdtigers  )

But the prototype hopefully will be done next week.

I have all of the easy stuff done now it is time to do the tiny tedious parts. :?

I am trying to put a fast forward on this project .

Fighting box-- shaped with dovetails complete
sow's head---- 95 % need texturing
gun barrel----- ( using King Tiger barrel ) done
mantlet well ----95 % needs texturing
roof -------------all round parts roughed in

For you guys getting this --

Do you all want me to drill the locator holes for the 21st pioneer doner parts or leave it so you guys can ?

Should I use the panther cannon instead of the KT cannon ?

I guess I need to look this up .

Matthew, the Jagdpanther carried an 88 gun like the Tiger II had. The Panther 75 would look to small on it.

Hopefully later during the week and I will have something to show and I will accept payments then.

Thanks for the support guys !!

Hey Matthew, I like the idea of the King Tiger barrel.
I have a Jagdpanther I made and one of The Hun's both with the 21st century Panther 75mm, they don't look bad
but I think the 88 would look Great!
I've got a Panther set aside already.

Now what to do with all these Panther turrets? Maybe another project.......

Will this be a full build, or require a donor panther?

It will require a donor panther .

Trying to keep the price down I am thinking of making the fighting box only and of course Jagdpanther parts.

Simply pop off the pioneer tools cut it off in front of the radiator grills and graft mine on.

If you are handy with a razor saw you can do the cutting and gafting in less than a half hour.

OK Guys I am real close to finishing the prototype .

Hopefully tomorrow . If my camera issues are solved I will post pics tomorrow.

All the parts are made except the front vison port and I need to rework the antenna pedestal for the rear of the hull.

The rear hatch will be static but I made it in such a way if you want it to open or close the hinge is free just like what I did for the Jagdtiger

I remade every single piece except the gun tube .

There was also a 3/8th of an inch difference in the rear angle and I had to raise the box from the original .

So it is safe to say I did not copy the Hun's kit .

Now I wanted to keep the cost down that is why I am making the box to mount on the rear of the Panther donor.

I also was not planning to copy the pioneer gear and all.

What say you all about this ?

Normandy,

That is a great idea !!

Those turret boxes would be a snap to make and making the mantlet without the chin deflector would be easy peezy as well.

Any interest ?

Blitz ---I was going to try a backdated Panther way back when but there was not rrealy interest at the time.
Unfortunately I had to delete the pics

http://www.warbird-photos.com/gpxd/view ... st+panther

What I had made was a early G with

rounded mantlet
radiator cover with out fan box

Now to make a A/D

rounded mantlet
remove fan box on radiator
exposed exhaust pipes
levitating sight cover
different angled operator and radio hatches
remove side rail and add dove tailed rear side armor
different bolt pattern on road wheels ( nobody will ever notice except hardcore rivet counters )

Not to get off track, but I'm working on an early Panther G.

I started yesterday. I added zimmerit, removed the "chin" on the mantlet by rounding it and still have to remove the
the fan.
Its still very early in the project but I just wanted to show the pics of the rounded mantlet if anyone wanted to do a
Panther turret pill box....
