My Pickelhaube Sherman Firefly with Custom British Troops

Post by maritime96 » Sun Mar 23, 2014 11:59 am

Ever since Pickelhaube did the Sherman Firefly kit and I finished it, I knew I needed some troops to go with it. Using a mix of 25th Anniversary Joes and Action Force Figures I have put together some much needed British Troops. I did the Enfield rifles myself. I made up my Firefly in the markings of the tank that is "claimed" to have destroyed Michael Wittmann"s 007 Tiger. Hope you guys enjoy the photos.

Wow nice job on the Firefly, thats one of Pickelhaub's kits I missed. :(
Hey great job on the troops.....the two on the left (first pic) look like they hung out with Arnold.
All kidding aside its good to see some British troops in this scale.
Well done Maritime!!

I like what you did on the British troops. Nice job on the Enfield rifles and Webley revolvers.

Great job !!!

To bad nobody remembers the name of the guy who got Wittman . But Wittman's name will go on as the greatest panzer commander in history .

Kind of like the Red Barron in WW1 .

I would like to have this in my collection.

Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

I actually use stuff called Solvaset - it is made by Walthers for use on train decals. I like the results better than Microsol. - I also dull coat spray the entire tank once the decals are on. Then I weather and I dull coat again to tone the weathering down. Thank you to everyone for the compliments.

Nice tank. This gives me some ideas for decals on my Firefly.
