*Original 1:18 Scale Photonovel* - Indiana Jones!
Hey, everyone!!
As my entry in a contest sponsored by The Indy Cast - the world's premiere Indiana Jones podcast - I have created this all new photonovel,
"Indiana Jones and the Mayan Secret." As part of the rules of the contest, we had to use that title, which was created by contest organizer and uber-customizer, the amazingly talented Ron Hemble.
So here is MY take on "Indiana Jones and the Mayan Secret." This is just chapter 1. Unfortunately, I only completed two chapters by the contest's deadline, but I will definitely be finishing this story. My plan is to try to post one chapter every couple of weeks for the next two months, for four chapters in total. (Roughly.)
This is a World War 2 era story, so I use a LOT of Bravo Team and Ultimate Soldier stuff in it that you guys will be very familiar with.
In any event, hope you enjoy this new PN!

That was fun to read
There is a spelling mistake as the sergeant is telling Kowalski "Places like (this) can be dangerous"

Aw, crap! I'll fix that, thanks! That's one of those typos you can re-read a hundred times and never catch, since your mind is very good at "filling in the blanks."Jay wrote:That was fun to read

Thanks very much for reading and commenting!!

Great job I can't wait to see more. So is Sgt. Lee supposed to be Wan Li aka Short Round

Thanks very much! But I'm not quite sure I know what you mean by the veiled insult?
Much appreciated!maritime96 wrote:Great job I can't wait to see more. So is Sgt. Lee supposed to be Wan Li aka Short Round
yes, indeed, Sgt. Lee is Wan Li, aka "Short Round"!
I tried to make it a little more obvious, as Sgt. Lee has personalized his helmet with a New York baseball logo. But, sadly, even with 126 pictures in the chapter, it is extremely hard to see. Oh ,well!
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read and comment!

That was fun Great work!
Short Round grew up to look like that "Space Dandy" anime character
Question, though. What's up with the Maya in Burma?

Thank you!!! I experimented a lot with various techniques before settling on that "motion blur" effect used in the action sequences. It's a little goofy-looking, but without it, the figures just look so darn static that it was hard to convey a sense of urgency and movement.Razor17019 wrote:WOW! Amazing! Lance, great stuff. The custom figures, diorama / sets and storyline all give the feel of an Indy movie.
You've put plenty of work into it....Well Done!
