So anyone hear from Jim recently? Seems Merit has been very quiet lately even on their Facebook site. Hope nothing bad happened to Jim.

Jim has been awfully quiet these past couple of months. I wonder if they are planning the big reveal at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con July 24-27. I'm sure Merit will be there in full force. We may even hear something further regarding BBI's earlier sudden announcement of a new 1:18 tooling in the works slated for release in the next coming year or two. Eager minds await.

Maybe it' just my mood today, but I'm starting to lose hope for the Harrier.

Since there are no pre-orders out from any of the major e-tailers online other then Aiken's I suspect it maybe a few more months or the end of this year before we get them. I'm sure they are working diligently with all their other countless projects going on to evaluate any flaws and production costs related to the project. Once they have a final product to showcase along with a better sticker price and release date to go with it then we should finally get the news that we have been long awaiting for. Hopefully we will at least see something by next month at San Diego Comic Con.

If its really true that everything in 1:18 in terms of aircraft through Merit is literally riding on how well the Harrier sells once released to the public. Then its quite possible to think Merit is holding out on this one on purpose to ensure the end product is near flawless both in model kit and preassembled form. ....Or at least we hope so for the sake of the hobby.

Tick tock tick tock... really hope they have something to show off at SDCC.

9 days away! I will be there Preview night, so if there is something there I'll be posting it.

they would do better by releasing the Fw 190 first, they would make some money there, I would buy 2 of each livery they produced.... IMO
ya gonna pull them pistols or whistle Dixie

Merit posted a picture of the Harrier online, you can see it on our Facebook page as well:

https://www.facebook.com/TheFighting118th

It looks severely cropped/edited but it's a thing! And they promise it shall be revealed (along with other stuff?) at SDCC 2014.

Perhaps it'll go on sale? Limited run? We'll be stopping by Wednesday (Preview night) to find out.

Any questions/etc you want asked of Merit, shoot me a line @ the 118th.

The fighting118th has actual photos of the prototype on their website. Still no paint though, but looking awesome!
