Is the Harrier still a go?

I hadn't heard anything lately about the 1:18 Harrier. Does anyone know if it is still going to be produced?

Unfortunately, no word yet since SDCC. However, last time I heard anything about it it was brought to my attention Merit had already shipped out one of two working prototypes on over to JSI for further R&D. There were apparently some issues that needed to be addressed first before sending it into production. We may not see or hear anything about it until either very late in the year or sometime in the first quarter of 2014. As it is, it seems they are pushing the envelope a bit further on this one with working panel doors, nose cone access, lights, and a rotating turbine with functional exhausts just to name a few. The project has been in the works for over two years now or at least that's what I've been told. Lets hope it makes it through.

would be great if they ca install a smoke generator similar to what those 1/16 tanks have.

I wouldn't be too concerned about that. I'm pretty sure will hear something from Merit long before they even ship them out.

Different in a very good way or bad way?

Anybody know if they actually sell products at ihobby expo or is it mostly just for retails buyers to place orders like at Toy fair?

Thanks!

Is it open to the general public? I noticed several dates listed. It's a couple hours away. I may make the trip.

we can only show the same Test Shot One (T1) from Comic Con. For those who can make it to iHobby, please check out our booth and look for Tony. He will have some drawings to reflect modifications to T1.

Not me but apparently they did showcase a 1:6 scale Panzer tank at their booth. Must have been an incredible sight to see in person. They posted some pics of it on their FB site. See link below....
