How's this canopy looking? I rounded the back portion of the canopy.

Hay Nathan, that canopy looks good, seems to have the right shape.
Now would that be one of the 2ns series (with landing gear) Huckebeins your working on? :D

Norm, It is.
Unfortunately, we've had some bad news in the family and my ability to work on the Huck will be reduced. When time permits I will work on the canopy to get the guys with kits going. We will know more in a couple days. Thanks in advance for everyone's patience and prayers are appreciated. Nathan

Had some time while I wait for the clear PETG to arrive for the new canopy. This is a rough fit of the cockpit. How does it look?
If all's good I'll add some detail and move on to the rear landing gear and engine compartment. That's a scrap canopy.

Sliding canopy. Got the idea from the 190 I took apart.

Completely reworked the cockpit. Using the foot pedals and seat from the 190.

Now moving on to the engine bay. I'll post pics when I make some progress in that area.

Nathan, that is fantastic looking! The amount of work just in the cockpit is unbelievable.
Your version II Huckebein will be a very welcomed addition to my 1:18 collection!

Thanks for everyone's patience. I'm getting close to wrapping up the construction portion of this build. Got the engine bay complete and ready to mold. It's been fun. Still have some things to cleanup, but close enough to post some pictures.
I plan to paint the wheel well portion black to help make it disappear. It's not part of the actual aircraft.

Hey Guys! The Dauntless was a nice little distraction from the 183 for a couple weeks. Now I am back at the 183 with a determination to get it done. It's been a journey.
The engine compartment and landing gear are ready to mold. Plan on getting those started next week after mothers day weekend.

Taking an idea from Pickle I started a GoFundme campaign to see how it works. If your not interested in buying a kit, but want to throw in a couple bucks for supplies. If your interested in a full kit, I'll put your funding towards the kit. The funding will go towards resin, primer, fiberglass, brushes, peel ply, breather cloth, etc. My goal is to get this project wrapped up and all orders completed by the end of the year or sooner. Then it's preparations for the next project. Who knows I may be done before the Harrier. :D

The link to the campaign is gofundme.com/tt6e4ck

The help is Greatly appreciated. Nathan
