jack's ( dick's ) first attempt at subbing out a 3-D printer to do his work for him.

He never fessed up to it making others think that he constructed it himself.

The 3-D printer is the wave of the future for this hobby.

He had the Tony made to spite me.

I heard this come from his mouth because he knew I was working on one of my own.

This coming after our first ( my first ) attempt to bury the hatchet.

The lower quality of the Tony compared to the P51B was shocking. Stickers rather than decals???!!!! Shoddy paint. That's one of the reasons I did not think they were done by the same person.

The Tony had stickers. Thick stickers like you would see on a Wal-mart G.I. Joe toy. Shockingly bad quality from top to bottom. There is no way that the same person produced the p51b which I had ordered very early in Skyworks existence and the TonyI ordered near its demise

Corgi showcase collections P-51D (GLAMOROUS GLEN III) & P-38J (Marge)

Looks like you got the S1 tooling of the FOV F-14. You need to track down one in the S2 tooling. They even did a VF-84 version(which you can see in one of my shelf pictures on the previous page). Far, far better sculpting than the S1 tooling that is more on par with HobbyMaster and Century Wings. Has opening cockpit with detailed pilots & instruments; various ordinance, and swappable landing gear that look correct. Only thing is on the S2 "improved" VF-84 version, Unimax left off the "AE" lettering on the inside of the tails and the pilots have gray helmets...

Yeah, I would have rathered the S2 but this will work for me, + $35 I couldn't pass that up!

Corgi does a number of them in 1/72, and you can get the floatplane version as well. The Corgi one is a fantastic little model, and comes with proper metal rigging, and wings that can be moved into the swept back position.

Definitely one of Corgi's better efforts.

The one pictured on EZToys is actually an Oxford Diecast AC025. A cheap $20 model.

Well I don't buy from Oxford diecast, so I wouldn't know, HOW dare EZtoys lie to me!
Oh well, anyways, I still prefer Altaya diecast aircraft over HM, that might have to do more withe the prices too though, but altaya does put some good effort into detail, like if you put both the corgi and altaya swordfish side by side there wouldn't be much difference there.

Trust what Snake says... He's been around a while and knows his diecast. Hobbymaster has not made a Swordfish. I have a Corgi 1:72 Swordfish as well (its in my blurry shelf picture on the top shelf, under the Corgi Lancaster). I lucked out and got the rare HMS Ark Royal version that participated in the sinking of the Bismarck.

Speaking of Oxford Diecast, they use a lot of Corgi's toolings, but are much simpler in construction and therefore affordable. They also tend to make some unique subjects not available in other scales. I actually just picked up an Oxford Gloster Meteor jet model that I found at a local hobby shop. Nowhere near as nice as the Corgi one, but given that it was diecast, had accurate 616 Sq livery, and came with a companion German V-1 for about $20, I couldn't resist
