That is fantastic news! Merit's quality is evidenced by their SBDs, so I am very glad to hear they will make the next most-highly-sought-after plane in 1:18 scale! should be a winner all around & they have a ton of great paintjobs to choose from.

I would have hoped for more 1/16 tanks---not artillery.

This will be fantastic!
So the "new aircraft" will not be a Me-163 Komet.....

Even though the Fw-190a conversion kit was well made by Skyworks it was lacking and I had no doubt the Pickelhaube would have made an even better one they still would be lacking simply because of the glass. The hard angles of the 190a cockpit gave it a distinct menacing look. If merit stays true to form and detail as they have on their Dauntless this will be the best WWII plane to date to hit the scale. I hope they will make many versions, not just two. I will no doubt make customs using it but at the base price in the $175 (if it is like the Dauntless) ball park there will be a very limited amount of people who can pay $400+ for a custom one from me.

I second that

Curious as wouldn't the A8 be the first one to do as over 6000 were produced as opposed to 1700 or so A5 versions

I was thinking the same thing--A8 makes more sense to me also.

I am hoping that the price point will be cheaper.

The Dauntless is a much larger plane than the 190.

I am hoping / wishing for around $ 100-$125.

Of course $39.94 would be better but we will NEVER SEE THOSE PRICES AGAIN.

I'm a quite disappointed that the Me-163 rumor was just that. But depending on the price and paint I might bite the bullet on the 190A. It is awesome news for those who have been wanting one in some form. Much like LTL I'm still waiting on an A-10 and some others. With this and the Dauntless I think there is reason to keep hope alive, at least for WW2 stuff.

I guess you get what you pay for. The dauntless is an amazing piece, can't wait for another aircraft with amazing details!

I might just have to convert one of the merit 190s into a dora!
