hey normandy the very first pic you just posted of the king tigers. i see that the first 2 have a square with a half circle cut out of it on the rear track hooks on the turret. it looks to just be some sheet metal but for both of them to have it, it would seem purpose for something. anyone know what that is?

I believe they are used as the gun travel lock, the main gun would rest in the rounded out part.

thanks never noticed that in any pics before. i would think it would fall off that round machine gun mantlet from the vibration and going over bumps but i guess not

I don't think the designers intended the gun lock to sit on the mg mantlet, it must have just been convenient
for the tank crew in that picture. The gun lock / rest would have been on the hull deck, just forward and
between the driver's and radio / mg gunner's hatches.

Just in front of and between these guys.....

Thanks Normandy again for keeping the home fires going.

I am back from Caly and as I guessed it work is slamming.

This Is always a good thing. I am not sure if I will ever recover from last years financial fiasco but if work continues like it is maybe.

When my real work is good the model work sucks !!

I can not do both at the same time. That is why progress is crazy slow ( OK not even moving )

Usually when I try to get a production run out I make all of the same parts as a bundle. Then start making other parts but make them all for all of the orders. So on and so on.

At this rate there is no telling when all of the orders are made.

Or...

I could just make one full kit ship it and proceed that way.

Still taking time but at least one guy will have his then the others will have to wait in line.

So I will ask you guys this .

What you would rather me do ?

Wait till I fill ALL of the orders then ship all at the same time ?

Or..

Make one order at a time then ship it out ?

I guess the shipping selection will go first come ( payment ) first to go.

Sorry for this , but due today's economy this just could be the way the orders get filled.

I know that I have at least 2-3 weeks worth of solid jobs ( 7 days a week ) of my real job. It could just slow down after that. But it is hard to tell.

If work continues ( AFTER I FILL ALL OF THE ORDERS ) 1/18th customs may just come to an halt.

I am not sure at this time is going to happen on the A-10 project.

It is just to early to tell.

It is better as one at the time to get your orders down,i can't really see the advantage of making all at once.however making one at the time you can see the progress and there is always for you the fun challenge of making and putting together each kit in less time.
We will also get the benefit of seeing the kit fully assembled by some of our members while we wait.

The only problem would be the last guys on the list.

Nobody has ever complained about the tardiness of receiving their kits but this may be a first.

I guess you should do them which ever way you think is best; I am sure everyone will be understanding to your situation. Just wondering what does this mean for the Jagdtiger and the Porsche turret. Will you still be doing them or are they on the WAY back burner now?

No they will be done as well.

Probably the Jagd before the Porsche.

Hey Guys,

Do not hold your breaths but the first kit/kits may just go out the later end of next week .

I probably should not post this because of the possibility of another let down .

But there will be a good chance !!!

Is there a list of first come (pay) first serve so we can all see where we are in line?

Delivery will be in the order of receipt of payment . The numbers on the side are for the tigers wanted. First to be issued will be the Henschel.

3. Jagdtiger

1. Tank Ace----------1-2-3 ----------------Paid
2. Zelda--------------1-2-3-----------------Paid
3. Normandy---------1-3-------------------Paid
4. Norman 88--------1---------------------Paid
5. Maritime 96-------1-3----------------------Paid
6. Grockwood--------1-3-------------------Paid
7. CW4USARMY------1---------------------Paid
8. Canabary Paul----1----------------------Paid
9. Sky Pirate---------1= Full build---------Paid
10 Piero of Italy------1---------------------Paid $390 ?
11. Grunt-------------1x2 ?-2x2 ?-3x2 ?--$100 deposit

A total of 19 units. With 6 more probables and 3 for me.. Yes... I will make sure I have one of each for myself. I do not have many of my creations that I call my own but I got to have the K2 and it's variations .

This is a little short from the 42 orders from the poll.

Please let me know if this is correct.

Hey pickelhaube, I'm not in a hurry. I requested a full build and think it makes sense to cast mine in order, but assemble it after delivering for everyone else. That way you can get the models into the hands of the community quicker. I don't know what you're time frame is, but I would actually be happier if you shipped mine after summer is over.
