OK it looks like only 4 guys want the Jagdtiger.

I will take one for myself but at that short of a number it still looks like I will do the body/hull stretch by had and will probably NOT make a new mould for it.

I have a complete side done on the tracks !!

It looks pretty cool but is just a little lose.

I will have to make the rear idler pivot in order to get the tension right.

I have also made the rear and it is all together along with the pioneer tools.

But I need to make clamps and fix them to the tools.

I also have the tow cables worked out.

I was planning to use the real cables like I used on the T-34 but they do not work out to well.

So I am using picture hanging wire. It looks good is easily bendable.

The small cable ( track cable ) will be using the same picture wire.

I untwisted the picture wire cut the wire strands in half and re twisted the wire chucked in a drill.

They look great and are to scale.

The main tow cables will have a resin casted eye loop and the track cable will have a brass ferrel and the modeler will have to make his own eye loop.

Hopefully I can get some pictures up soon.

Triple post.
A helicopter does not want to fly, it just vibrates so much that the ground rejects it

You need the Possum Van and a roll of duct tape for a job like that!

Sorry I can't provide my personal funds to this project, but best wishes to you pickel for making the dreams of many come true!

Alrighty guys.

I am sorry about this project dragging on but my real job has finally gotten back to almost what it was before Katrina.

I will never recoup the money lost for the last 2 years but at least now I do not have to worry about paying the bills.

FOR NOW . :?

Any way here is the tally ( so far ) per the Tiger II orders.

If this tally is incorrect please let me know about your orders.

-----------------------Henschel-----------------Porsche---------------Jagdtiger

Zelda--------------------x---------------------------x---------------------x
Maritime 96-------------x
Normandy----------------x--------------------------------------------------x
Tank Ace ---------------x---------------------------x-----------------------x
Grockwood--------------x--------------------------------------------------x
Grunt--------------------x 2-------------------------x----------------------x
Norman 88--------------x
CW4USARMY -----------x
Robbie P.----------------x
Canberra Paul----------x
Skypirate ---------------x
Pierro of Italy-----------?
Harden Steel------------?
Pickelhaube--------------x---------------------------x------------------------x

A total of 21 units. With 2 more probables and 3 for me.. Yes... I will make sure I have one of each for myself. I do not have many of my creations that I call my own but I got to have the K2 and it's variations .

This is a little short from the 42 orders from the poll.

Please let me know if this is correct.

OK,

Not so much interest for the Jagd.

Please give me a show of hands for those who want a Porsche turreted Tiger II.

Those who are not already on the list .

There seems to be less interest in the Porsche than the Jagdtiger :D

I have the track worked out and they look great.

Long track length on the bottom short on top and singles around the main drive and rear idler.

I spent all day working on the pioneer attachments . They are made ( 3 different sizes ) and I made an attempt to stage the tools and cables. They just kept popping off because I did not want to glue them on because I need to cast them.

Talk about fiddly :? :? :?

The final straw is when I went to cut the track pulling cable ( the thin one ) I cut the wrong end and cut the cable in half.

I got pizzed and said screw the pics. :?

Any just a few more details and the Tiger II will be ready for just a few final moulds and production should hopefully start this weekend.

Production on the Henschel.

Looks like only 2 guys are down with the Porsche.

Is that right ?

Well the prototype is done !!

All I have left to do is make the towing shackles and design the main gun mount and production will almost be ready to start.

I need to make a few more moulds and I will.

The towing cables were some what problematic but I got them worked out. I made little clips to hold them in place. The pics show them but they do not show the final look.
The cables ( when installed ) will look neat and tidy. I had a heck of a time trying to hold the cables with out gluing the clips. I did not want to glue the clips in fear of damaging them trying to remove them after the photo opp.

I made the ends of the cables then tried to slip the holding clamps.

This did not work. I will have to make diagrams on how the cables need to be attached.

Here you go.

This gap will be tight tight. The pins in the tracks are holding it up for the photo opp. :?

Thanks guys for the kind words.

Hey Normandy great pic. Of course I have not been looking but this is the only pick I have seen with the tracks stretched tight.

Of course they do seem to be the narrow travel tracks ( for rail use ) and maybe they fit tighter around the running gear.

Maybe those more in the know can shed light on this .
