1/18 Dauntless displayed at the Museum

Post by Axis Nightmare » Sun Oct 14, 2012 6:36 am

Through a generous donation, the Tri-State Warbird Museum now has the Merit Dauntless on display. Despite the battle to get the wing mated to the fuselage, I feel this model is far superior to any other prop driven 1/18 model by any other company. I added some 21st Century flight crew from my spares. Just starting to nose over in its dive, it takes it's place next to the Avenger. Also currently on display are: BBI P-51, Hellcat, Zero, 21stC Corsair, Stuka, 109E, 109G, 190D, P-38, P-47 Razor, P-40, Spitfire, and Admiral Me-262. :)

What makes the P-51 Mustang so special?

Very nice display! ....and agree that the Merit Dauntless is the superior example in 1/18 prop driven, thus far.
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.
