Wow, looks pretty nice! The gear has the forward "rake" I was hoping for, too. I hope it doesn't bow out like that on the finished product, though. A definate purchase, especially with it being BBD!!

I realize many of you are aircraft experts so maybe you can help me see why this 21st century mustang is better than BBi's? Or is it? Maybe because these pics are just of a prototype, but it doesnt look anywhere near as detailed as BBi's, IMHO. Dont get me wrong, I love 21st Century, hec, I own almost everything they've released in 1:18, including the repaints.

Personally I'm kind of burned out on P-51's and to a greater extent ME-109s. I'll probably buy this one just because its a better BBD then the one I have already. I really wish someone would have made a B model. I could have gotten excited about that. Hopefully this will finally satisfy the market and we can get new stuff going. But still there are a lot of variants of the Spitfire, Warhawk, and Fw-190s to do...sigh.

Wow, the BBD is the only one of the original Mustangs I don't own. Well, no need to keep watching it on ebay now
Its weird but this is the second time something like this has happened, Pappy's Corsair was one of the two that I didn't have when the Aviation Legends version was announced, and now this.

bbi vs 21st
my "Killer" P 51 was my first 1:18 purchase and i am still amazed by it ! i can't wait to see more of the new 21st BBD but on the pictures several problems are clearly visble : landing gear too canted; toyish looking exaust nozzles and wings ... hope theses problems are just on the prototype ! due to size i was decided to have only one model of each airplane (picking the best one ...) but now i am hesitating after buying a 21st cobra helicopter and PPK spitfire... can't wait to have some "experts" comparing both ...
