BBI Replacement F18 Pilots

Post by 456THBG » Wed Sep 05, 2012 8:54 am

OK, so is there a "trick" to fitting these guys in the JSI F14? Besides removing the lower legs (like I did with the Corsair pilots going in the Mertit Dauntless)...

I was able to get mine to fit in just fine. They don't seem to go in with their legs out but rather pulled in like you would sitting in a chair. With a careful bit of wiggling and pushing they just pop right in.

What Beeavision said is about right... You've got to bend the legs straight and sort of wiggle them in there so they sit up against the seat. I found that the figure fit in the rear seat (RIO's station) better than the front pilot seat, but both figures sit a bit high. Its not a perfect fit (like in the BBI F-16 or F-18) and my original pilots customized from old BBI Helicopter pilots actually fit a tad better. They do go in, however, and do look good.

Got mine from Bad Cat Toys, $9.99. They took a while to get in there but, they do look good once inside the cockpit. Now I can paint their helmets knowing that they will fit.

Btw, the helmets can be removed without having to remove the entire pilot out of the cockpit. Thought you would like to know.
