New 1:18 Scale Weapons Available Soon

Post by falcone » Thu Jul 26, 2012 11:36 am

Hello, I'm new here but am very active on various toy forums. Mainly for GI Joe. I have a new line of 1:18 scale weapons that will be available in a few weeks. They will be sold individually and as value packs. The pricing for individuals will be from $0.75 to $1.00. Value prices have not been set yet. Close up pictures to come soon.

In addition to this, these weapons are tentatively planned. Mauser with scope, Beretta 38a, Gewher, and sks. I'm also considering doing a basic M16a1 and Ak47, both as accurate as possible since accurate ones are hard to come by.

A nice FG42 would be killer! Or an MG42. Maybe a K98.

This is the last update. The next time I post it will be to announce that they are available. These pictures are the best I could get with my camera.

Be sure and let us know when and if you'll have WWII gear available. I only collect WWII German myself, but I know I speak for others when I say I'd like to see more of what you've got.

No ones said anything about the bst 6-months rule?

Usually, when new members post about looking to do bst, the response and advice to wait 6 months is usually prompt. But when that new member has nice goodies to offer for sale, the rule dont seem to apply?

I don't mean to be an ass but I perceive double standards and just saying it as I see it.

No offence Falcone, in case you think I'm trying to shut you down which I'm not. Your weapon pack looks fantastic and I'm keen to get some. Welcome aboard

Gouchy,
You're right with the rules, but new member Falcone is not selling anything now, just presenting what he could offer later...

Yep, 6 mos. would definitely apply if he wanted to sell directly through the BST part of our board. But he also said he's active on a lot of different forums, so if he sold thru a different board where it's allowed, or through ebay or his own online store or whatever it could be a moot point.

I'm just happy to see some more NEW 1/18!!! Product and price looks great so far! And awesome to hear WW2 would be next.

Guys, I read Falcone's post a few times just to make sure I didnt miss anything before making my post but I still think I made a somewhat valid observation.

I too am always happy to see new 1/18 stuff in our shrinking stagnant hobby and new members joining up here is always a good thing.

The weapons looks great, but i think there are some pieces here that are already over saturated. I'm sure you are making these with an eye specifically towards G.I. Joe. These will make fine replacements for sure, the details are great. I think you would do really well to have more weapons like the AKSU and the G36 Carbine. Different enough from the typical offerings, but known enough to be highly desired.

A world war II kit would do incredibly well here on SSHQ. Specifically russian and german arms. Make sure you go to Fighting 1:18th for this set. These will do great over there, i believe.
Best,

When I first started putting together the weapon lineup I did so with weapons personally wanted. It wasn't until after I was well into the project I decided to go into production. So this set is more what I want than what I though would be popular. I am a member on the 1:18th as well as most Joe boards too. The next set will be about 10 weapons again, most of which are WWII. I'm currently putting together the lineup.

Here is my 2 cents.

Although he is a new board member , I think that he should be considered a manufacturer not so much a customizer.

Kind of like the Gun Marauder .

In that case he should get a pass on the 6 month probation.

Of course when he has the product on hand .

Some of our newer members are patiently waiting there probation and could think " unfair " but by offering these weapons to the 1/18th community he is offering a new manufactured product that most of us will use and further the advancement of our hobby.

I for one am not interested in his modern offerings but will be interested in his possible upcoming WW2 weapons ( Ppsh-41  )

Maybe with a popular/ unpopular show of hands this could be allowed .

Aferguson what do you think ?
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

At the current rate of production the 6 month probation will be irrelevant.

Also, here is the tentative lineup for the second series. I still need to add two and the ones currently in the lineup may end up not making the cut. I'm also hoping to have these available already painted.

LOVE IT!! YOU MAKE THAT AND I WILL BE SENDING YOU SOME ORDERS FOR SURE!!

My only suggestion is to kick the AK and replace it with an STG 44.. with the IR scope and light!! 8)

I think I'd replace one with an FG42, one with a Springfield Sniper Rifle, and maybe a watercooled .30

Those are my opinions... I have lots of some of those weapons, but not lots of others.

Wouldn't hurt to see if helmets or other gear are available too... In particular, Russian stuff. Hasbro's Russian soldiers from the IJ line aren't bad, but with the right gear from a place like yours Falcone, that would put them over the top.

Just my opinion. Either way, I'd avoid anything TOO common already in the world of figures that we have... Thompsons and the like... I've got fat stacks of certain weapons around.

Now Hasbro, make us some Head Sculpt & Endor Uniform variations! The new Rebel Fleet Trooper gets the JJ Seal of Approval Though!

i would drop the AK and the Dragunov and replace it with an FG42 and something else. IF you could get the IR scoped STG 44, you would be on my personal heroes list, but i know that is a bit of extra material.

......... what you guys mean is Vampir or (vampire) IR equipped STG or SturmGewehr 44 .

Yeah , I'd kick the AK for one of those too as well as an FG 42 .
