Made some little fella's this time around. I thought it might help out the ground pounders that are looking for an inexpensive way to give the 3D stuff a try. If you'd like to try one, go to http://www.battlegroundtoys.com and hit the Shop button.

Although I have limited interest in this project. But , it can be used as yet another Sdkfz 251 / 250 version.

News of this is very exciting. In a time table of a week or so this NEW WEAPON can be on our front door step.

Dare I say that guys like me will be a thing of the past after the 3D printers become more accessible and user friendlier ? :D

"guys like me will be a thing of the past after the 3D printers become more accessible and user friendlier"

i can foresee the day, 10+ years from now, when the technology has gotten cheap enough that anyone can just go online to their favourite 3d print shop, and have a vehicle/plane or whatever printed out for a very reasonable cost. Then the 'customizers' will be people like Grunt, who design and sell software for various subjects. The end user buys the software of the subject he wants, emails it to the 3d print shop, selects the size/scale, they print it out and mail the model to him. All done online and all for far less than a 1/18 custom costs today.

Unfortunately, i'l probably be old and frail before that day comes.

It's $9.37 and can be ordered here:

Are you unable to buy it from Shapeways? That's the easiest way.

The future is closer than you all think. This is a fundraising campaign for a new type of 3D printer. Watch the video, the process and quality are mind blowing. Makes "traditional" additive methods seem primitive, even the best. If it is true (I'm not 100% sure of the details) that 4K will net you a full machine with his print quality. IF someone can harness this, along with a caster that knows his stuff, they could tidy up in the 1:18 market (Not just military, but Joes, Star Wars, etc.).

The time is now, everyone just needs to get organized.
