While the Super is nice ...

... I'd rather have an F-105 Thunderchief.

AND, I would even take it with the Sharks Mouth. Usually I reserve that just for the Warhawk but I will make an exception.

Yeah, I know! But it's a Rocket Ride for sure!

Both would be a nice acquisition!

Nice picture! Refresh my memory but isn't the 2 seater F-105 a Wild Weasel? Still looks cool!

wasn't it Skyworks that was developing a 1/18 F-100? If so, i wouldn't send any pre-order money if i were you.

An F-105 would be amazing...nearly 4 feet long. And the 2 seat WW would be the way to go.

No , it was somebody else tied in with Military Toys as well.

I wonder why they ( Military Toys ) kept quite about the Skyjerks debacle ?

I think it was PWP designs that proposed the F-100. They are the outfit that custom painted the Corsairs and Hellcats

Patrick from Air Strike toys did the custom paints of Corsairs & HellCats. I got one of each and he did some nice work.

John

I picked up one of Patricks FAA Corsairs, and love it.

Shame he isn't doing his fine work anymore. :(

The price he was charging almost did not pay for the work done.

He did a great job . Plus he was a super nice guy.

Love his work. The last time I'd talked with him he confirmed that he isn't PWP. There was no need as Patrick's work was real good while PWP's was not (I have examples of both). As for his leaving he'd mentioned to me that the straw was when another customizer was claiming copyright on *all* customs and threatening legal action if he kept making them. This was separate from and after the mashup with 21c and Admiral.

a better question is where is the Komet?? The rumour of it has been dangling in front of us for well over a year now.

PH....who was it that told you one was in the works? Time to tell all...

Well, the guy told me not to build it.

I asked why ?

He said one was being made.

I asked who ?

No reply .

He said he was not at liberty to say. But this was not their first 1/18 scale offering.

This guy is a player in our XD world.

So I listened to him and did not build it.

But I have started my prototype but have shelved it ever since.

I still remember when MTS was working with Skyworks and PWP on the F-100 prototype. They even had a picture posted of it. But if you ask me if you really want to have a good idea where it is now just read the comment by mkxiv just after Airacobra's post in the link below. It should help explain everything. lol
