May be we should launch another F/A 18C Hornet (From BBI)
This is what BBI ask their customer in their Facebook four hours ago.
"May be we should launch another F/A 18C Hornet. What do you think?"
What do we all think?
I LIKE THAT AND WANT THEM TO RE-RELEASE ASAP

Yes, they should do this. Preferably in a standard-looking scheme like the "Golden Dragons" and a couple of the others they did. The "Agressors" scheme proposed a couple years ago looked neat, but just wouldn't be the type I'd personally get...
"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

Sounds like a great idea...I'm guessing similar price to new F16, right? So, I would prefer a different scheme, maybe Aggresors (sorry tmanthegreat), and PLEASE FIX THE MAIN GEAR!!!

One in RAAF Markings would hit the spot

I love this idea but its about 3 months too late considering I just bought a Jolly Roger. I've been looking for a decent priced one for years finally find one with a couple small problems and now they're talking about doing new ones. Oh well, guess you can never have too many hornets.

Greetings:
With all due respect the BBI Facebook page is a complete joke. I visited a few times and was rather dismayed to see how disrespectful and rude some of the people were being in their comments toward BBI. It was even more disrespectful to see that some of these ridculous and negative comments were from people who are or were members at one time of this forum. This is probably why no BBI rep will visit here anymore. The Facebook page just seems to be a bunch of people whining and screaming about inaccuracies in the products and what they want. Not very constructive commenting at all.
In terms of a Hornet, I am with tmanthegreat, a new standard Navy scheme would do very well. That is what most people know and see and would want. Special schemes are nice but not practical. If BBI wants to do a export scheme a CF-18 would be the most workable and probably the most popular in North America. With the popularity of the Blue Angels I am very surprised they haven't rereleased that airplane yet. Or a TBirds 16 for that matter.
I expect a Hornet repaint this year. They did an F-16 so a new F-18 would be a workable next step in their mini comeback. I say mini as none of the planes have been a new mold yet.
Corey

Corey I couldn't agree more in regards to the comments on BBi's FB page. It just goes to show how much wastes of space are out there with FB pages.
I would love to see the Hornet released again! I got one off the shelf from TRU years ago and still kick myself for leaving one behind

I think that FB is a good tool , a marketing tool and the person in charge of this page must hear the complain and the perception of the brand by general people.
It is largely possible to bring the attention of the Marketing person to the incredible gap between annoucements / possibilities & hopes VS. reality of the products.
This is just a Communication problem !
I really like the possibility to have direct line to a brand ! I used to work for many companies and really liked to hear the problems of my customers... & try to corect them ASAP.

I really would like another standart grey Hornet, just other squadron numbers to make a patrol with my son's Golden Dragon. But would like to get 4 AMRAAM (2 on each side of the fuselage for air superiority), instead of 2 + bombs. An IR detector pod would also be very nice.

I'm also up for a new low-vis "working" Hornet (especially if it's released long enough after the Dauntless to ease the cash flow hit of two new big birds in 2012!) But I'm okay with plenty of bombs as ordinance -- these last 20 years or so, Hornets have been mainly serving as bomb trucks.granch wrote:I really would like another standart grey Hornet, just other squadron numbers to make a patrol with my son's Golden Dragon.
