BBI confirm in their FB we will see their F-18 in future

Post by rohirrimknight » Sat Feb 04, 2012 11:33 pm

I just see BBI communicate in their FB yesterday that we will see their 1/18 F-18 hornet in future. Good news for me but base on the current price in eBay and the price of MH-60, I think price will not below US$100 while not know it will be from the current mold they already have or modify the mold same way like MH60, any additional air to air and air to surface weapon will add rather than sidewinder and bomb, will be by this year or not.
For me I looking for the Blue Angles squadron, the new fighter squadron stickers (exe: Jolly Rogers , etc.), improve the plastics for better landing gear (see several complaint in other website in this area).
My view is if they sure to release F-18 again, it will be better if we can provide market requirement to BBI for their information to their FB. I wish they will listen to the market as I believe they can do MH60 better than what they just release. Not sure because they focus to build it as toys not collector.

That's good news - I've wanted one but have balked at the prices on ebay.

price will probably be the same at $169.99. I doubt they will do any mods but they may come up with a new paint scheme, like the Falcon.

I agree...I would expect price to be similar to recently released F16...
I hope, if they go forward, that they do improve the main gear - I have my four F18s sitting on Pizzaguy's stands for that very reason!

Any link to this latest news from BBI ?

If they do, I think it will strictly be another repaint just as they did with the F-16.

Can't see the MSRP being less than $170 either.

Tons of different schemes they could do. Really have no idea what they will release, although an "Aggressor" was supposed to be the next release, back in the day.

Well, like you Aslav, have no need, or desire to have Facebook.

Thanks anyway though. :D

Yes, information come from BBI Facebook. Do not know how to capture the screen picture. Capture question and answer as follow

Question ask by one follower: "Will we see 1/18 F-18 in future".
BBI: "Surely you will see F-18 in future".
I ask question: "what will be the next release for 1/18 scale"
BBI reply "It's a USAF twin engine combat jet".

The list of USAF Twin engine combat jet I can think of at this moment: F4, F-18, F-15, A-10, F-22, F-5.

Possibility: F-18 :D because they already have mold and tools only the right version to release.
Fantastic if it real: F-15 8) (I always pray if JSI can not make F-15....and they can agree to sale the mold and tooling to BBI.....then we can see F-15 soon)

BBI Collectible Although your question is specify to 1 /18 scale but all I can tell you now the next release will be smaller than 1/18.

Just back from BBI facebook with two update news
1. They reply that the next release [rpduct scale will be smaller than 1/18
BBI Collectible: Although your question is specify to 1 /18 scale but all I can tell you now the next release will be smaller than 1/18.

2. Their announcement today as follow
"Hi BBI Fans,
A new product list of Elite Force 1/6, 1/18 and 1/132 for 2012-2013 has been made, there will be some new tooling investment for these product lines development."

It quite exiting what will be the list of their new products coming in each scale. I also waiting 1/6 F-15 EAGLE cockpit back again.

p.s. i think they wrongly type 1/32 to 1/132 as it should be super small scale but easy to collect.
