PICKELHAUBE:

I know it's old, but I'm asking SSHQ members what they paid for the Merit T-34/85.

I want to say I paid about $85-$90 for the T-34. It was actually one of the last items I bought from BadCatToys a couple years ago.

It's a nice tank with decent paint and light weathering, however, it does not have any opening hatches or interior. It is based on the Henlong/WSN/Trumpeter model and you can find an RC version of the same tank on eBay for about $150. In fact, if you look on the lower front glacis of the Merit example, you can see where there is a hole for a switch and the wording "Volume" left moulded on the plastic.

Recently, I cut open the commander's hatch on my Merit T-34 using a razor saw and glued it in the open position. I then built/painted a 1/16 scale Soviet tanker figure to go in the hatch 8)

TMANTHEGREAT:

Thanks for the info. I'm having a belated interest in the Merit T-34/85 and was curious about the pricing.
I don't know if I have room for another 1/16 tank, but it looks pretty cool.

BIG-MIKE:

Thanks for the info. I'm still debating over the T-34/85---I have a space problem, especially for another 1/16 tank, but if the price is right I would get one.
