AG, do you know if the figures will be offered seperately? I recall talk back when this was announced that would be the case. A Blackhawk needs more than one pilot and passenger

Hello Gang! ...PHOTOS!!! ...please scroll down.

Foxhole Toys received it's first litter of the new Blackhawks and already shipped most of the pre-orders last night! For those of you who pre-ordered the figures as well we will pack the SEAL & Pilot into the Black Hawk box when they arrive and ship together. The figures will be here betwen Friday and Tuesday of next week.

Here are some pics we quickly snapped for our customers and for this board.

Overall, it's a GREAT piece! The radoms are NOT simply glued to the nose (new molding) and the internal seats have all been removed except for the furthest rear bench in order to make room for the gun sets and stowage (if needed). The flooring is different as well. We liked this feature for its open cabin. The tail has been glued to the fuselage requiring the lage box (40x11x11) BIGGER than the F-16 Falcon's box!

The SEAL is better than we thought it looked from the manufacturer's photos, but you guys be the judge.

The pitot tubes come loose making them optional (great if you want to add them to your other helicopter too!

We sold out of our initial orders but are getting more. Enjoy guys! Matt

not sure it was a great idea to glue the tail on. All that does is jack up shipping cost unecessarily.

I agree. I was surprised to hear about this. I would have had no problem with a tail that needs to be snapped into place rather than a one-piece unit that needs a huge box.

As noted before - looks too "green" but maybe the pics don't do it justice. The crew chief window appears to be solid plastic, they could have at least put in a piece of clear plastic there - makes it look to PTE-ish if you know what I mean.
For $160 details should be much better. It's nice that they pulled out the center seating but there shouldn't be any seating in the back wall (really should be a fuel bladder). I know, being too picky.
I'm still holding out for Pickel to get back to the DAP version so I can "do it up right."
For now I'll take my Pickel - Pavehawk over this MH60 any day.

I still not understand why BBI leave the crew chief window like that and another things I ask them to consider to make it more realistic but I stop thinking about that now. I will modify my MH-60 when it arrive to me as much as I can while waiting PH to finish the Ho-229 project and he has time available to continue the kit upgrade version for black hawk or DAP.

it would have been a simple matter for bbi to make the crew chief window part out of clear plastic and then paint it the same colour as the rest of the helicopter, except for the window portions. That way it is still a one piece molding and yet those windows would be clear.

At $170 price tag, details like that should be taken care of.

several places have it for $169.99 with free shipping. That's for the US....doesn't help those outside the US.

I just noticed the window gun positions look funky. It looks like only one of the windows is open with the other still closed? Never seen it like that. I gather they only retooled half of the window posiiton because the fuel tank thingy is still there and in the way of the other half of the window position.

I still can't help but feel positive about this release. When the S1 version came out (2003?) I bought two. I ended up selling both later on because they were, well, boring.
Lack of armament just made them seem dull to me.

The new version, though pricey, is much more exciting due to the miniguns. And I like that most of the seating has been removed. It looks like it will offer a lot more fun right out of the box.

Aferg, I think the real window is in 2 parts, one is gliding over the other, so when it's fully open, you'll see like only 1 part. This MH-60 seems they have molded only one half window, but it is not as bulky as the original, when both halves are one over the other... a "real" pane of glass would be a first custom. BBI realy spared money everywhere they could!
Tinman , I like the first versions with all seats rows, and have put 9 men + 4 crew with all their stuff in 1 modell. This new release is missing the 2 seats for gunner/ mission commander, I've seen the following pic showing these backwards facing seats.
Some custom work in perpsective to make this model more realistic...
