Well, if that buyer leaves feedback we'll be able to see the "disguised listing". Just remember that he ended the other auction on Dec. 16th, so that is when the end date of that other auction would be.

I had a little free time and did the math. This guy spent $5499.55 in 45 days, not including the private auctions. I looks like he bought every buy-it-now auction in sight. And I thought I spent too much on this hobby...

It's like he did not even try to get a good deal. :?:

I guess this guy figured he was too late to invest in gold or silver, so he is investing in 1/18 toys...

Where is Indiana Jones when we need him, to hunt down all the KT, A-10 & F-4 prototypes

This whole deal does not compute on so many levels its hard to comprehend :?

In this episode of Mythbusters...

Confirmed / Plausible / Busted

10 KT Prototypes were made, sent to individuals for evaluation
The existence of F-4 prototype, up to 4 made
Casting a KT without taking it apart possible? With tracks and wheels on?
Was TKO211 privy to all these prototypes?

I think that this guy buys under the curtisbehappy2011 account and then resells them for ridiculous prices under the pjc240ross account:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorworks-Ulti ... 2a1747e9aa

The item location is listed as "westerville, OH, United States" for both accounts with the city not capitalized on both of them.

I can understand buying from one account and then selling from another to keep the prices you pay for the item secret. However, he was trying to sell the king tiger from his newly created account. That could mean that the item might not have been as described and he didn't want to damage the feedback rating from his primary account if the deal went south. I could also mean that I clearly have too much time on my hands... :)

Excellent detective work Mudhen.
A month ago I did a BIN for a "Gunther Rall" Bf-109 from pjc240ross.
After paying, he contacted me and gave a bull**** story about a fire damging all his 1/18 planes. Although he did have others stored at a different location and would offer a "2 Allied for 1 damaged Rall".
I declined and was given a full refund.
All his 1/18 auctions were ended and one week later re-listed, less the "Rall".
I just assumed he had a better offer after he had committed to sell to me with the BIN.
I'm glad this sly individual is being "outed" by the CSI:SSHQ net police :)

Man that dude is so full of BS I've run out of analogies to use! He says he blacked out his image because he doesn't want his face out there in cyberspace, but that picture is on the internet already...

I found it on three sites, and here is a link to one site where it can be found (last picture):

http://www.waffenhq.de/specials/seal.html

Caption Reads:
"Seals during Desert Rescue IX exercise on the Fallon Naval Air Station, Nevada, USA on 0.7 August 2003.
Desert Rescue IX was an exercise for the evacuation of civilians from conflict zones and CSAR operations."

It is also odd that he captioned it on his profile "My BDU", which anyone with a military background or interest will know that stands for "Battle Dress Uniform", aka, the 2-piece uniform the operator in that photo is wearing under all that kit. You don't call the entire set up BDUs. BDUs are what you put on in the morning to go to work in garrison, and someone that really knew that wouldn't caption the photo "My BDUs".

And the second picture is of the seal team known from the events of "The Lone Survivor" with the only surviving member, Marcus Luttrell, who is second from the right.

So long story short this guy is DEFINITELY a con artist. He is knowingly manipulating the system and I would love to see his ebay days come to an end. Unfortunately the burden of proof lands heavily in our court and I don't think we could quite convince Ebay to rid themselves of this a$$hole (especially since they make a fair amount off him).

he certainly has some stiff prices on his items for sale. Gets his price once and a while, mostly from international buyers it seems. $200 plus $80 shipping for a 262 nightfighter. Wow.

I think he 'preys' on the uninformed. I really wonder what was up with that KT prototype. I wonder if he was going to sell a 1/16 model he'd built and pass it off as the 1/18 21c prototype. Something was up for sure.

We can watch the feedback on the other ID and maybe we'll get an idea...unless he has a third ID he used.

Very good sleuthing.

Ok I had the guts to call him out about it...lets see if he responds back to my sent message...which I doubt he will...I asked him what his name was...his unit...his time in service...I can back my sh!t up...I am ranger qualified and was part of sf team 4 in afghan...and I have documentation and contacts who can verify for me if he is claiming to be a seal...I asked him if he could give me any info on who he is and if he could prove it as well as why he had two ebay profiles trying to jack up the prices...so far I have gotten no response back...and I asked him about the king tiger...I doubt I will hear back from him...

Also he has a link to to call out the fakes..which I told him I was doing...calling him out...man people like him get me pi55ed off...

Isn't there a law for impersonating a solder? I do know its illegal to impersonate a cop. I guess it all depends on how far you take it.

It sounds like you're talking about the Stolen Valor Act of 2005. It makes it a federal misdemeanor offense to falsely represent oneself as having received any U.S. military decoration or medal. To my knowledge it doesn't really mention just the act of impersonating a service member to gain things like passive benefits (i.e. street cred on ebay). It does however mention that using the false status to gain access to benefits they otherwise might not have, like loans, special financing, etc is illegal. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case that states that the Stolen Valor Act is unconstitutional.

I heard somewhere that bdu's weren't allowed to be worn by civilians at airports. I take it that has more to do with national security then the Stolen Valor Act.
