Hi Welcome!! We're almost neighbors. I live just across the border to the west in Illinois. Been to the AF museum there at Grissom. Very nice place.

All I have to do is mention visiting air or military museums and my wife starts having panic attacks, but luckily for me, our twins love going, so she has to endure for their sake! We walk round to comments like "I just don't want to look at another B52 Bomber" - (anything with jet engines) or "The smell is making me sick" (That glorious mixed scent of gas, oil and old machinery that should be bottled and sold as aftershave!)
Meanwhile the kids are walking through a Concorde, or stood in the shadow of a King Tiger tank, or finding out what it was like to stand in a WW1 trench system, or watching knights in armour do battle with lance and sword...AND we haven't even got to the gift shop yet!

If had a buck for every time I heard "We're going to another military vehicle show?", with my boys, over the years, I'd be rich.

I am very appreciative of all the comments...I'm glad when I have a question, all I have to do is ask. I was already showing my wife all the posts and she was like wow thats awesome. People you can share and get info from, I was like I know right. This should be a wonderful relationship.
