BBI on a "Roll"?

Post by 456THBG » Sun Sep 04, 2011 1:35 pm

Just read on Badcat's website where they are expecting the BBI Hartman 109 a month early - Around mid-September.
If that happens, that will be two in a row (the previous F16), both repaints, new boxes, pilots, etc...
Wow! At least there is one reliable, consistent, quality player left in the world of 1/18 scale!
Looking for a manufacturer to support? Hmmmm?

What I like best is that we are seeing BBI product when they say we will see it. Imagine how nice that would have been if 21st Century, Admiral, and others had done the same.

well i'm sure they tried; unlikely they intended to piss everybody off with delays. At the same time they had to try and keep enthusiasm going. Imagine if 21c had said from the beginning they were going to make an Avenger and it would be released......in 4 years time.

Allgo has at least released what they said they were going to and without a huge amount of delay. It's great to see BBI back and with perhaps a retooled Blackhawk on the way too, but let's cut Allgo some slack..we'd all like to see them back at top speed too.

I really want to be hopeful. The 109 coming out on or ahead of schedule is a good sign. Maybe a result of those Chinese factories not having as much work as they did before the Crash of 09.

... now let's see some new plastic, as well as new paint ...

This is good news, I like the BBI 109. Ahead of schedule is great........but underproduction? Is this just being cautious?

On the topic of repaints i wouldn't mind seeing another Hellcat, all dark blue version, as well as another Zero, mabye a Rabaul Zero. And since they're in the mood for retooling, as per the blackhawk, how about a Rufe?

Like the silver and green mottled Zero we were suppose to get from MTS? I had two on pre-order before the cancellation. :?

Think the EF F-16 from BBI has been a success.

Hope the Hartmann 109 does as well. I know I am getting one.

At this stage I would be happy just to see BBI do repaints of their existing molds.

If these are successful, we may see some new toolings.

F-4, or perhaps a good quality Spitfire.

On the BBI Facebook page they say the BF-109s have already shipped out from the factory. No detail as to when they will be out for sale.
