Looks good.

I just hope the 109 model arrives for distribution this side of the pond as fast as the new F16 one did.

Thanks for the pictures.

Agreed. The F-16 pretty much came out right on schedule.

That looks fantastic :D I don't care whether it doesn't have the "black tulip" seen on Hartmann's later aircraft... The scheme is accurate and fits the BBI Bf-109G2 tooling and looks fantastic on that aircraft. Much more interesting and exciting than the S1 version!

Does anyone know how many they will make? or how many of the S1 version was made? The S1 version is so rare now Ive been sitting on my inventory. This becoming available will loosen things up abit and I think Ill make some more custom F models now. A few years ago a seller was selling the S1 version on eBay and gave a very good rate for shipping from china if you bought in bulk, I got 7 for $65 each including shipping from China. I hope he or someone will be offering something similar with this one.

A must have for me. I have every 1/18 109...the BBI one is the best.

Is there anyone from the forum that will be selling these. I would like to keep the business in house.

Wow, thanks for the excellent pictures, STM6...I've got mine on preorder, and now I'm "pumped", seeing these pics!
Can you imagine getting two new 1/18 planes in one year from one company (BBI)? When was the last time we saw that happen?

Already pre ordered mine through American Grenadier.

Waiting for a Hartmann 109, and although not the black tulip version, this one has me excited.

Looks great, and hopefully we see some more 1/18 from BBI. Although they do not have the later G model 109, with the cannon bulges on the nose. But if they can give us some aces earlier mounts, I am in.

I have an Me-109 question: Why was the area on the fuselage, just below the engine and forward of the wing root almost always painted some shade of yellow?

I think it was a tactical identification marking which was applied to various German front line aircraft types in an effort to provide rapid identification of friendly aircraft to flak and other ground units, probably used until the Luftwaffe was forced onto the defensive.
(Same thing can be seen on the FW190A )

Hope this helps.
